According to NFL Network&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ian Rapoport<\/strong>, the Denver Broncos are sending their starting quarterback and a seventh-round pick to the Washington Redskins in exchange for a sixth-round pick. Keenum spent the 2018 season with the Denver Broncos but has also started for the Minnesota Vikings, Los Angeles Rams, and Houston Texans.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Broncos?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">#Broncos<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Redskins?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">#Redskins<\/a> have agreed to terms on a trade to send QB Case Keenum to Washington for draft picks and with an adjusted contract, sources say. Broncos get Skins 6th, Washington get a 7th.<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RapSheet\/status\/1103789646750846976?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">March 7, 2019<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<h1>Denver Broncos Trade Case Keenum to Washington Redskins<\/h1>\n<p>Following a career season in 2017, Broncos general manager\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/E\/ElwaJo00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">John Elway<\/a><\/strong> signed Keenum to a two-year deal to serve as the teams starting quarterback. During his lone season at the helm, Keenum started all 16 games while completing 62.3% of his passes for 3,890 yards, 18 touchdowns, and 15 interceptions. Elway wasn&#8217;t impressed with Keenum&#8217;s performance, as the Hall of Fame quarterback <a href=\"https:\/\/lwosonnfl.ms.lastwordonsports.com\/2019\/02\/13\/denver-broncos-and-baltimore-ravens-agree-on-joe-flacco-trade\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">unofficially traded for<\/a>\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/F\/FlacJo00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Joe Flacco<\/a><\/strong> a few weeks back.<\/p>\n<p>According to Rapoport, Keenum will battle incumbent quarterback\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/M\/McCoCo00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Colt McCoy<\/a><\/strong> for the starting job. McCoy started three games in 2018 in place of an injured\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/search\/search.fcgi?pid=SmitAl03,SmitAl02&amp;search=Alex+Smith&amp;utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Alex Smith<\/a><\/strong>, completing 63% of his passes for 372 yards, three touchdowns, and three interceptions. McCoy&#8217;s season ended prematurely after breaking his leg against the Philadelphia Eagles. Smith, of course, is expected to miss the entire 2019 season after suffering a gruesome leg injury midway through the 2018 season.<\/p>\n<p>Keenum initially entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent back in 2012. Spending time bouncing around the Texans&#8217; active roster, Keenum finally earned starting time midway through the 2013 season. Starting eight games for Houston, Keenum completed 54.2% of his passes for 1,760 yards, nine touchdowns, and six interceptions.<\/p>\n<p>Keenum&#8217;s best season came with the Minnesota Vikings in 2017. Filling in for an injured\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/B\/BradSa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sam Bradford<\/a><\/strong>, Keenum recorded a career-best 67.2% completion percentage, 3,547 yards, 22 touchdowns, and seven interceptions.
