Washington took Sudfeld in the sixth round (187th overall) of the 2016 NFL Draft. But much like with the Eagles, Sudfeld functioned as the third-stringer and subsequently didn’t see any game action.

Sudfeld was the 11th quarterback selected in the 2016 draft. Prior to that, he enjoyed a standout collegiate career at Indiana. As a senior, he threw for 3,573 yards and 27 touchdown passes, both of which led the Big Ten. Sudfeld earned third-team All-Big Ten recognition as a result. And despite appearing in all of the Hoosiers’ games in just his senior season, Sudfeld’s 7,879 yards and 61 touchdown throws are the most in school history.

A native of Modesto, CA, Sudfeld initially committed to Arizona out of high school. But after the Wildcats fired Mike Stoops, he decided to open up his commitment and eventually settled on IU. It proved to be a good decision as he finished as the school’s most prolific passer and subsequently embarked on a pro career.

Embed from Getty Images

A restricted free agent, Nate Sudfeld has spent the previous two seasons as the Philadelphia Eagles third-string quarterback.

[36,21
7393
post-59554","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-nfl-news","category-eagles","tag-philadelphia-eagles-news
["GET
