It will air the results in a pre-recorded ceremony on CBS starting at 9 p.m. The NFL began to hold the show in 2012 as an additional event to the weekend of Super Bowl festivities that also airs on the rotating network hosting the American football championship. \u201cKing of Comedy\u201d and Miss Universe host Steve Harvey has been tabbed to host this year\u2019s show, and he will be in charge of yet another interesting night of awards.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While many of the awards did not have pre-announced nominees, experts and fans can guess the nominees for some of the league\u2019s most coveted titles, such as Most Valuable Player (MVP), Coach of the Year or Rookies of the Year. Most of the awards are decided and presented by the Associated Press, but there are some new trophies with new presenters. Also announced at the show will be the Pro Football Hall of Fame inductees, which will culminate a long process for many league legends, leaving five to eight inductees from 15 finalists. Here are my predictions for the outcomes of tonight\u2019s decisions, some which will be nail biters and others that will be easy peasy.<\/span><\/p>\n<h1><strong>Predicting NFL Honors Award Winners<\/strong><\/h1>\n<h2>AP NFL Most Valuable Player Award<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prediction: <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/M\/MahoPa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Patrick Mahomes<\/a><\/strong>, <a href=\"http:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/chiefs\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kansas City Chiefs<\/a> Quarterback<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I know there are calls that a defensive player finally gets considered for this award. But the fact of the matter is that in a year where offense dominated the league and showed very little limits, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/D\/DonaAa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Aaron Donald<\/a><\/strong> is not going to receive enough votes to win this award over the magical season Mahomes put together. The Chiefs\u2019 success is almost entirely due to Mahomes, as he took over for <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/search\/search.fcgi?pid=SmitAl03,SmitAl02&amp;search=Alex+Smith&amp;utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Alex Smith<\/a><\/strong> with only one NFL game for experience, and took that team to the AFC Championship to go toe-to-toe with <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/B\/BradTo00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tom Brady<\/a><\/strong>. Mahomes was not only the most valuable Chief but the most valuable player to the league because let\u2019s face it, this season would not have been as interesting if it weren\u2019t for his 75-yard chucks, no look flips, left-handed throws, love for ketchup and voice comparisons to Kermit the Frog. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/B\/BreeDr00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Drew Brees<\/a><\/strong> was far too inconsistent throughout the season, but he will always be the MVP in our hearts.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span>AP Coach of the Year Award<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prediction: <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/R\/ReidAn20.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Andy Reid<\/a><\/strong>, Kansas City Chiefs Head Coach<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Coach of the Year Award is always weird because it seems many more-deserving candidates get passed up often. The AP usually chooses the safer option in a newer coach who shows their first glimpse of success, and winners rarely repeat. While Andy Reid is not a new coach and far from his first glimpse in succeeding in the league, the chance Reid took this spring sending his starting quarterback packing for an unproven sophomore paid off far better than people would have believed. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/R\/ReicFr00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Frank Reich<\/a><\/strong>, <strong>Matt Nagy<\/strong>, and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/L\/LynnAn00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Anthony Lynn<\/a><\/strong> are fair options, too, but Reid\u2019s overall 2018 campaign will stand out for years to come due to his excellent decision-making.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span>AP NFL Offensive Player of the Year Award<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prediction: Patrick Mahomes<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This award is really up in the air because the criteria are so vague and we have no way of knowing what the voters are looking at most. Many are saying that this award should go to Drew Brees, which isn\u2019t a bad option, but if it\u2019s going to be given to any quarterback (and it probably will,) it should go to the 50 touchdown, 5,000 yard-passing league-leading Quarterback in QBR, in charge of arguably the top offense of the year. If anything, the consistent excellence from candidates on his team alone (<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/K\/KelcTr00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Travis Kelce<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/H\/HillTy00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tyreek Hill<\/a><\/strong>, and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/H\/HuntKa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kareem Hunt<\/a><\/strong> before his release) shows how well Mahomes ran this team.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span>AP NFL Defensive Player of the Year Award<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prediction: Aaron Donald, <a href=\"http:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/rams\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Los Angeles Rams<\/a> Defensive Tackle<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the beginning of the year, weeks after being traded from his Oakland Raiders to the Chicago Bears, Linebacker <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/M\/MackKh00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Khalil Mack<\/a> seemed like a runaway for this award. However, Aaron Donald stormed through and reminded the Rams &#8211; and all of us &#8211; why he is just as worthy of a maximum contract as Mack; Leading the league in sacks from the interior lineman position is very, very rare. Double teaming Donald did little for offenses trying to limit his impact, and it didn\u2019t help when his sidekicks Nose Tackle <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/S\/SuhxNd99.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ndamukong Suh<\/a> and Outside Linebacker\/Defensive End <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/F\/FowlDa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dante Fowler<\/a> Jr. got into a rhythm and helped out. If there was any doubt, Donald\u2019s league-best 25 tackles for losses shuts that hole close.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span>AP Offensive Rookie of the Year Award<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prediction: <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/B\/BarkSa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Saquon Barkley<\/a><\/strong>, New York Giants Running Back<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year Award &#8211; Already Announced as Saquon Barkley<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is probably the tightest race of the evening, and while <a href=\"http:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/browns\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cleveland Browns<\/a>\u00a0quarterback <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/M\/MayfBa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Baker Mayfield<\/a><\/strong> is a dangerous (get it?) competitor, Saquon will ultimately sprint away with this award. The Giants running back single-handedly kept his team in games and made spectacular, unbelievable athletic plays that very few humans can make. He showed unquestionable leadership in drama-filled moments and never gave up during plays or games where most maybe would have. Mayfield had a very similar impact, but his candidacy is hurt most by the fact that he didn\u2019t play the entire season, sitting on the bench for three and a half games when he could\u2019ve been starting, so if anything, the blame lays on <strong>Hue Jackson<\/strong> if he doesn\u2019t get it. I have a feeling we\u2019ll be hearing about the results of this award for years to come (\u201cRemember when _______ was robbed of ROTY by _______?\u201d)<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span>AP Defensive Rookie of the Year Award<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prediction: <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/L\/LeonDa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Darius Leonard<\/a><\/strong>, <a href=\"http:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/colts\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Indianapolis Colts<\/a> Linebacker<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Despite getting snubbed by the Pro Bowl, there\u2019s almost no chance Darius Leonard isn\u2019t unanimously given this award. Rookies don\u2019t normally lead their team, let alone the entire league in tackles. He also had four forced fumbles, sharing that number with proven stars <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/M\/MillVo00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Von Miller<\/a><\/strong>, Aaron Donald, and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/L\/LattMa01.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Marshon Lattimore<\/a><\/strong>. The defense wasn\u2019t a shining point for many this year, but Leonard is a rising star that compares to very few on his side of the ball.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span>AP Comeback Player of the Year Award<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prediction: <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/L\/LuckAn00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Andrew Luck<\/a><\/strong>, <a href=\"http:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/colts\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Indianapolis Colts<\/a> Quarterback<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I personally would like this award to go to <a href=\"http:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/texans\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Houston Texans<\/a> quarterback\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/W\/WatsDe00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Deshaun Watson<\/a><\/strong>, as their teams made similar recoveries from miserable 2017 campaigns to successful, playoff-berth 2018 years with their franchise quarterbacks healthy and under center. However, Watson\u2019s own candidacy is hurt by the miraculous comeback and success of his teammate, defensive end J.J. Watt. For a hot second during the year, this award could have easily gone to <a href=\"http:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/redskins\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Washington Redskins<\/a> running back\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/search\/search.fcgi?pid=PeteAd01,PeteAd00&amp;search=Adrian+Peterson&amp;utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Adrian Peterson<\/a><\/strong>, as he came off the street to have a 1,000-yard season. But Luck\u2019s year was even better than his teammates or fans could have hoped for. He\u2019s basically a shoo-in for this award.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/P\/PaytWa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Walter Payton<\/a> NFL Man of the Year<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prediction: <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/W\/WhitAn20.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Andrew Whitworth<\/a><\/strong>, <a href=\"http:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/rams\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Los Angeles Rams<\/a> Offensive Tackle<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Many consider the Man of the Year award way more coveted and important to the league than its MVP, as it showcases the best of the players\u2019 efforts to use their privileges to leave a better world outside of football. However, non-sport tragedies hit close to home for many NFL teams and players this year, as Southern California was pummeled by vicious wildfires in the middle of the NFL season. However, Andrew Whitworth among others was up for the challenge, donating his whole game check in Week 10 to relief efforts for many that were left in the wake of the disaster, including some that worked for the Rams themselves. Between Los Angeles and his former team in Cincinnati, the four-time Pro Bowler is often cited as the humblest and most supportive player in the league and receiving this award may further cement his legacy in the league.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span>Bridgestone Clutch Performance Play of the Year<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prediction: \u201cThe Miami Miracle\u201d, <a href=\"http:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/dolphins\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Miami Dolphins<\/a> vs. <a href=\"http:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/patriots\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">New England Patriots<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This play is one of the most memorable from a crazy season, and led many to believe the end of the Patriots dynasty was near (Hint: I don\u2019t think those beliefs came true.) What\u2019s crazier than the fact that <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/T\/TannRy00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ryan Tannehill<\/a><\/strong> led the Dolphins halfway down the field was that the team successfully pulled off a lateral against a Bill Belichick-coached team, leaving the large, mythical-like<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/G\/GronRo00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Rob Gronkowski<\/a><\/strong> tripping as <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/D\/DrakKe00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kenyan Drake<\/a><\/strong> took the ball into the end zone for a touchdown. It was literally synonymous with David vs. Goliath.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/sports\/nfl\/patriots\/2018\/12\/09\/miami-dolphins-new-england-patriots-touchdown-video-kenyan-drake\/2259088002\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Read more (and watch) about the play here.<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span>FedEx Air &amp; Ground Players of the Year<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prediction: Drew Brees (Air), <a href=\"http:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/saints\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">New Orleans Saints<\/a> Quarterback; <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/E\/ElliEz00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ezekiel Elliott<\/a><\/strong> (Ground), <a href=\"http:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/cowboys\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dallas Cowboys<\/a> Running Back<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Drew Brees cemented his legacy this year with another stellar 30 touchdown, 4,000-yard campaign, leading the league in passer rating. In the running game, nobody received more carries and produced more rushing yards than Ezekiel Elliott, making him the literal description of a workhorse. He averaged 95.6 yards per game on the ground, six more than <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/G\/GurlTo01.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Todd Gurley<\/a><\/strong>, who came in at second.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Assistant Coach of the Year<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prediction: <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/R\/RichKr20.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kris Richard<\/a><\/strong>, Dallas Cowboys Defensive Backs Coach\/Passing Game Coordinator<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In a year which proved that offensive coaching is clearly more important to franchises and the key to successful futures, the success Kris Richard built in his first year as a assistant coach in Dallas can\u2019t be overlooked. While he retired from the Lions as the now-sixth best passer in team history, he also served 11 years as an outreach consultant at the University of Michigan\u2019s Comprehensive Depression Center, which he also retired from. He now serves the Eisenhower Center as an Outreach Specialist for their \u201cAfter Effects\u201d program for veterans and NFL players. The committee in charge of selecting the winner of this award down to only <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nfl.com\/news\/story\/0ap3000000996901\/article\/finalists-revealed-for-2018-art-rooney-sportsmanship-award\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">three members (yes, only three)<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and two of them played during the same years as Gates and Drew Brees, giving these two the only clear advantage to take this award home.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Built Ford Tough Offensive Line of the Year<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prediction: Los Angeles Rams<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to former offensive lineman and <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nfl.com\/news\/story\/0ap3000001014984\/article\/rams-saints-colts-among-offensive-line-of-the-year-nominees\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">NFL Network analyst <strong>Shaun O\u2019Hara<\/strong><\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, \u201cThe Rams were the only team this season to have all five starters log at least 1,000 snaps, a major reason for great chemistry and why they are playing Sunday.\u201d That\u2019s the main distinction between them and the other excellent offensive lines across the league from 2018, namely the New England Patriots, Philadelphia Eagles and Indianapolis Colts. All were exceptional in their own right, but the Rams line just produced jaw-dropping results with the success of Running Backs Todd Gurley and <strong>C.J. One of their year\u2019s best moments should snag them an award tonight: after an 11-yard touchdown reception by Wide Receiver <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/S\/SharTa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tajae Sharpe<\/a><\/strong> against the Philadelphia Eagles, the entire offense took to the end zone to line up as bowling pins, leaving Sharpe to knock them all down with the bowling ball &#8211; I mean, football. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Honestly, all of the celebrations are great, and I\u2019m glad the NFL is finally embracing a vital part of the entertainment value for their sport, but it\u2019s a shame that <\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/search\/search.fcgi?pid=ThomMi05,ThomMi02&amp;search=Michael+Thomas&amp;utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Michael Thomas<\/a><\/strong>\u2019 <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/H\/HornJo00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Joe Horn<\/a><\/strong> tribute<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> or <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/sports\/2018\/12\/06\/nfl-fined-ezekiel-elliott-his-latest-salvation-army-celebration-hes-not-happy\/?utm_term=.c4b1719e58ab\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ezekiel Elliott\u2019s Salvation Army donation<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> were penalized in-game, led to fines afterwards, and weren\u2019t even allowed consideration for this fan-voted award, but this is a first step toward the league becoming more open to the creativity of players. All of the final nominations were probably pre-planned, very well-executed, and over in less than 10 seconds. What I think will ultimately lead to the Titans getting the award, though, is that theirs managed to involve all of the scoring team\u2019s players.
