The playoff picture is so crazy that all six seeds are up for grabs in the AFC.<\/p>\n<h2>Nostrathomas Predicts NFL Week 17<\/h2>\n<p>As for Nostrathomas, his season has also come down to Week 17. He&#8217;s right at the .500 mark against the spread in 2018 and needs a strong finish to put himself over the top.<\/p>\n<p>Nostrathomas is 24-27-3 with his top picks this season, 101-101-3 against the spread and 133-64 straight up for a .675 win percentage.<\/p>\n<h2>NFL Week 17 Game of the Week<\/h2>\n<h3><strong>Indianapolis Colts -3.5<\/strong> vs Tennessee Titans (Sunday Night Football; Nissan Stadium, Nashville, TN)<\/h3>\n<p>Winner gets to play football next weekend, loser gets to watch on television. You can&#8217;t do any better to wrap up the 2018 NFL season than that.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/colts\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Indianapolis Colts<\/a> have won eight of their last nine to put themselves in a position to crash the postseason party for the first time since 2014. The <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/titans\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tennessee Titans<\/a> have won their last four in their attempt to make the playoffs for the second straight season.<\/p>\n<p>Indianapolis is the better team on offense, especially if <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/M\/MariMa01.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Marcus Mariota<\/a><\/strong> isn&#8217;t at full strength, but the Titans are decidedly tougher on defense.<\/p>\n<p>The Colts have the better offensive line when it comes to protecting quarterback <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/L\/LuckAn00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Andrew Luck<\/a><\/strong> but Tennessee has the better running game. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/H\/HenrDe00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Derrick Henry<\/a><\/strong> has rushed for 492 yards in his last three games with a 6.9 yards per carry average.<\/p>\n<p>If it weren&#8217;t for Mariota&#8217;s injured elbow, Nostrathomas would take the Titans to win this game. This is not the game though where Tennessee wants to be relying on <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/G\/GabbBl00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Blaine Gabbert<\/a><\/strong>. Take the Colts to win and cover.<\/p>\n<p><em>Indianapolis Colts 25 Tennessee Titans 20<\/em><\/p>\n<h2>NFL Week 17 Best Bets<\/h2>\n<h3><strong>Chicago Bears +5.5<\/strong> vs Minnesota Vikings (4:25 ET PM; U.S. Bank Stadium, Minneapolis, MN)<\/h3>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/vikings\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Minnesota Vikings<\/a> need a win to guarantee they\u2019ll have a game to play next weekend. The <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/bears\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Chicago Bears<\/a> still have an outside shot at the NFC\u2019s second seed and a first-round bye.<\/p>\n<p>For Chicago, Pro Bowl safety <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/search\/search.fcgi?pid=JackEd01,JackEd20&amp;search=Eddie+Jackson&amp;utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Eddie Jackson<\/a><\/strong>, linebacker <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/L\/LyncAa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Aaron Lynch<\/a><\/strong> and wide receiver <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/R\/RobiAl02.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Allen Robinson<\/a><\/strong> will be sitting out but everyone else is expected to play. Matt Nagy said this past week that the Bears are playing to win this game no matter what.<\/p>\n<p>Despite <strong>Matt Nagy<\/strong> and the Bears players saying all the right things, common sense says that the Bears starters will be in the game as long as the San Francisco 49ers are giving the Los Angeles Rams a battle.<\/p>\n<p>Considering that there\u2019s much less at stake for Chicago than the Vikings in this game it\u2019s tough to pick them to win in their season finale. Still, even if the starters do start disappearing from the field in the fourth quarter they should cover the generous point spread<\/p>\n<p><em>Minnesota Vikings 23 Chicago Bears 21<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Philadelphia Eagles -7<\/strong> vs Washington Redskins (4:25 ET PM; FedEx Field, Washington DC)<\/h3>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/eagles\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Philadelphia Eagles<\/a> have won four of their last five games in their run for a second straight postseason appearance. Quarterback <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/F\/FoleNi00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Nick Foles<\/a><\/strong> has been leading the charge the past two weeks, just as he did last season.<\/p>\n<p>Philadelphia needs a win over the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/redskins\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Washington Redskins<\/a> to keep alive any postseason possibilities. Combined with the way they\u2019ve been playing over the past month, seven points is a small spread to ask the Eagles to cover.<\/p>\n<p><em>Philadelphia Eagles 26 Washington Redskins 17<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Los Angeles Chargers -6<\/strong> vs Denver Broncos (4:25 ET PM; Sports Authority Field at Mile High Stadium, Denver, CO)<\/h3>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/chargers\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Los Angeles Chargers<\/a> still have a shot at a first-round bye in the AFC. The <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/broncos\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Denver Broncos<\/a> don\u2019t even have a shot to save the head coach <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/J\/JoseVa20.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Vance Joseph<\/a><\/strong>\u2019s job. If the Chargers can\u2019t put Denver away early in the game and keep them down then don\u2019t expect them to have what it takes to go far in the playoffs.<\/p>\n<p><em>Los Angeles Chargers 29 Denver Broncos 20<\/em><\/p>\n<h3>Jacksonville Jaguars vs <strong>Houston Texans -6.5<\/strong> (1 PM ET; NRG Stadium, Houston, TX)<\/h3>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/jaguars\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jacksonville Jaguars<\/a> have been a train wreck since appearing in the AFC Championship Game last season and opening this year with a 3-1 record. It\u2019s highly likely head coach <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/M\/MarrDo20.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Doug Marrone<\/a><\/strong> will be a \u201cBlack Monday\u201d casualty. Still, Jacksonville is a big reason why the Colts are playing a win and in game. They also knocked the Miami Dolphins out of the playoff competition in Week 16.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/texans\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Houston Texans <\/a>can finish with anywhere from the first to the sixth seed after Week 17 is complete. Houston is also playing in the early slate of games. They can put direct pressure on the remainder of the playoff field with a win at home, where they\u2019re 5-2 this season.<\/p>\n<p>The Texans haven\u2019t been reliable and both these teams have enjoyed ruining weeks for Nostrathomas this season but he\u2019s taking the Houston to win and cover.<\/p>\n<p><em>Houston Texans 24 Jacksonville Jaguars 13<\/em><\/p>\n<h2>Best of the Rest<\/h2>\n<h4>Oakland Raiders vs <strong>Kansas City Chiefs -13.5<\/strong> (4:25 ET PM; Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City, MO)<\/h4>\n<p>If the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/chiefs\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kansas City Chiefs<\/a> can knock off their traditional rivals in Week 17 they\u2019ll lock down the AFC\u2019s top seed heading into the playoffs. The <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/raiders\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Oakland Raiders<\/a> won their \u201cplayoff game\u201d last weekend, 27-14 over the Broncos.<\/p>\n<p>Kansas City should be able to take care of business this week against Gruden the Elder\u2019s over-matched squad.<\/p>\n<p><em>Kansas City Chiefs 34 Oakland Raiders 16<\/em><\/p>\n<h4>Arizona Cardinals vs <strong>Seattle Seahawks -13.5<\/strong> (4:25 ET PM; CenturyLink Field, Seattle, WA)<\/h4>\n<p>A loss by the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/seahawks\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Seattle Seahawks<\/a> in this game would either send them to a wintery, first-round battle against the Bears in Chicago or a warm, but equally tough, fight against the Rams in Los Angeles. A win would pit them against the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/cowboys\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dallas Cowboys<\/a> in the first round, possibly at home.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/cardinals\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Arizona Cardinals<\/a> need a win, okay they don\u2019t need a win but a loss would lock down the first overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. That would give Arizona a step up from the failures of 2018. The worst part of that result is that head coach <strong>Steve Wilks <\/strong>will end up taking all the blame and likely lose his job after one season.<\/p>\n<p>There are too many reasons for Seattle to go all out and not enough for the Cardinals to be doing anything but counting down the minutes to the final gun. This is one double-digit spread to expect to be covered.<\/p>\n<p><em>Seattle Seahawks 26 Arizona Cardinals 10<\/em><\/p>\n<h4><strong>San Francisco 49ers +10<\/strong> vs Los Angeles Rams (4:25 ET PM; Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, Los Angeles, CA)<\/h4>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/rams\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Los Angeles Rams<\/a> will be playing both the San Francisco 49ers and Chicago Bears Sunday afternoon. A win over the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/49ers\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">San Francisco 49ers<\/a> awards the Rams a first-round bye in the playoffs.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/G\/GurlTo01.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Todd Gurley<\/a><\/strong> has been declared out for Los Angeles but <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/A\/AndeC.00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">C.J. Anderson<\/a><\/strong> rushed for 167 yards last week so don\u2019t expect too much of a drop in the Rams running game.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/M\/MullNi00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Nick Mullens<\/a><\/strong> has been playing strong enough at quarterback for San Francisco to earn a shot as the backup next season. That\u2019s the reason why this game is primed for a backdoor cover. Take the Rams to do just enough to win and the 49ers to keep the score within 10 points.<\/p>\n<p><em>Los Angeles Rams 25 San Francisco 49ers 20<\/em><\/p>\n<h4><strong>Cincinnati Bengals +14.5<\/strong> vs Pittsburgh Steelers (4:25 ET PM; Heinz Field, Pittsburgh, PA)<\/h4>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/steelers\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Pittsburgh Steelers<\/a> have lost four of their last five games to put themselves in a position where they not only need to win this game but will need help if they expect to play football next weekend.<\/p>\n<p>The question here though isn\u2019t whether they can beat the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/bengals\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cincinnati Bengals<\/a> to close their season. They will. The question is whether they can cover the ridiculously large spread in this game. They won\u2019t.<\/p>\n<p><em>Pittsburgh Steelers 27 Cincinnati Bengals 17<\/em><\/p>\n<h4><strong>Cleveland Browns +5.5<\/strong> vs Baltimore Ravens (4:25 ET PM; M&amp;T Bank Stadium, Baltimore, MD)<\/h4>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/ravens\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Baltimore Ravens<\/a> are trying to lock up the NFC North championship after going into their bye week with a 4-5 record. Unfortunately for Baltimore, they\u2019re playing a <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/browns\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cleveland Browns<\/a> team that may have been knocked out of the playoff picture last week but is still motivated to finish 2018 over .500. For a team that put together a 1-31 record over the previous two seasons, 8-7-1 would be a triumph the Browns can build on in 2019.<\/p>\n<p>In this battle of rookie quarterbacks, Baltimore knows that if they win they\u2019re in. The Ravens are 5-1 with <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/J\/JackLa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Lamar Jackson<\/a><\/strong> at quarterback. The most impressive of those wins was last week, a 22-10 win over the Chargers.<\/p>\n<p>Even if Cleveland does lose this game they\u2019ve already proved that the arrow is pointing up for this franchise. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/M\/MayfBa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Baker Mayfield<\/a><\/strong> and crew will keep this game tight but Baltimore has more to lose and should finish the game on top.<\/p>\n<p><em>Baltimore Ravens 20 Cleveland Browns 18<\/em><\/p>\n<h4>New York Jets vs <strong>New England Patriots -13.5<\/strong> (1 PM ET; Gillette Stadium, Foxborough, MA)<\/h4>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/patriots\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">New England Patriots<\/a> are at home where they are 7-0 this season. They\u2019ve won those seven by an average of 13.6 points per game. That\u2019s not a good sign if you\u2019re the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/jets\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">New York Jets<\/a>. Another bad sign for New York is that their two starting cornerbacks may not play against the Patriots. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/C\/ClaiMo00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Morris Claiborne<\/a><\/strong> has been declared out with an injured ankle and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/search\/search.fcgi?pid=JohnTr05,JohnTr02&amp;search=Trumaine+Johnson&amp;utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Trumaine Johnson<\/a><\/strong> was held out of practice for disciplinary reasons.<\/p>\n<p>On offense for the Jets, rookie quarterback <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/D\/DarnSa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sam Darnold<\/a><\/strong> is coming off two strong performances but won\u2019t have wide receiver <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/K\/KearJe01.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jermaine Kearse<\/a><\/strong> on the field for this game.<\/p>\n<p>New York isn\u2019t healthy enough to keep this game close and the Patriots still have an open window for a first-round bye.<\/p>\n<p><em>New England Patriots 31 New York Jets 16<\/em><\/p>\n<h4>Dallas Cowboys vs <strong>New York Giants -5.5<\/strong> (1 PM ET; MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, NJ)<\/h4>\n<p>The Cowboys are locked into the number four spot in the NFC. Publically they\u2019ve been saying all the right things this past week. Realistically, it\u2019s unlikely that they\u2019ll be playing <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/P\/PresDa01.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dak Prescott<\/a><\/strong> or <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/E\/ElliEz00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ezekiel Elliott<\/a><\/strong> more than a quarter to keep them fresh, especially with guard <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/M\/MartZa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Zack Martin<\/a><\/strong> declared out.<\/p>\n<p>For the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/giants\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">New York Giants<\/a>, they\u2019re looking to finish the season strong after opening 1-7. Defeating Dallas would allow the Giants to feel like they finished the season on a high note.<\/p>\n<p>New York will be ready to play in this game. The Cowboys will be ready to play next week.<\/p>\n<p><em>New York Giants 27 Dallas Cowboys 21<\/em><\/p>\n<h2>Games of the Weak<\/h2>\n<h4>Carolina Panthers vs <strong>New Orleans Saints -7.5<\/strong> (1 PM ET; Mercedes-Benz Stadium, New Orleans, LA)<\/h4>\n<p>No, the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/saints\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">New Orleans Saints<\/a> aren\u2019t weak. They\u2019ve locked up the top postseason seed in the NFC. But this week their lineup will look like a final preseason effort. New Orleans will be starting <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/B\/BridTe00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Teddy Bridgewater<\/a><\/strong> at quarterback to finish the 2018 season.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/panthers\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Carolina Panthers<\/a> will also be starting a lineup that will look more preseason caliber. The Bills will be trying to end the season on a positive note after a 2-7 start. They were never able to put together even an average defense to go with their high-powered offense.
