The fantasy football season is officially in its final stretch. With the trade deadline passed in the majority of leagues, the only way to improve your roster is through smart waiver claims. No matter how good your roster is, you\u2019ll need to make at least one or two moves on the waiver wire if you\u2019re to win your\u00a0championship. With that in mind, quarterbacks\u00a0Jameis Winston<\/a><\/strong> and\u00a0Lamar Jackson<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0are\u00a0some smart waiver wire adds for the upcoming slate of games.<\/p>\n

Fantasy Football: Jameis Winston, Lamar Jackson<\/a> Highlight Week 12 Quarterback Waiver Claims<\/h1>\n

Jameis Winston<\/h2>\n

In what\u2019s becoming an almost-weekly event, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers<\/a> have made a quarterback change. Ryan Fitzpatrick<\/a><\/strong> has officially run out of magic and Jameis Winston is back under center. Playing either Buccaneers quarterback is always a smart play, as Tampa Bay\u2019s offense is loaded with talent while the defense cannot stop anything. Both quarterbacks are turnover-prone, but they can usually get enough yards and touchdowns to be a smart start.<\/p>\n

Winston goes up against a San Francisco 49ers<\/a> defense which has struggled to stop everyone except for the Oakland Raiders<\/a>. The former first-overall pick should have no trouble shredding up this defense, and this game could easily turn into a shootout. He\u2019s unowned in just about every league and can give you solid production if you need a one-week start at quarterback.<\/p>\n

Lamar Jackson<\/h2>\n

Yes, he was here last week, but he deserves to be here again. While Jackson didn\u2019t light the world on fire, he showed that his rushing ability can give him a safe floor against a subpar defense. With Joe Flacco<\/a><\/strong> expected to be out another week, Jackson should be able to give serviceable starting production for a second straight week.<\/p>\n

Jackson faces off against an Oakland Raiders<\/a> defense which has been terrible by just about every measure. They\u2019ve struggled to stop just about every opponent they\u2019ve faced and that shouldn\u2019t change in Week 12. Jackson should run wild against the Raiders and could even make something happen with his arm.<\/p>\n

If Joe Flacco makes a quicker recovery than anticipated, disregard the above and start Flacco instead. However, as of this posting, Jackson is expected to line up behind center in Week 12.<\/p>\n

Nick Mullens<\/h2>\n

While Nick Mullens<\/a><\/strong> struggled in his second career start against the New York Giants<\/a>, he still showed enough to be a serviceable fantasy weapon in a deeper league. Even though he\u2019s still nothing more than a matchup start, Mullens faces one of the best matchups in the league in Week 12.<\/p>\n

Mullens faces the terrible Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense, which should give Mullens plenty of opportunities to make plays. Tampa Bay has no answer for George Kittle<\/a><\/strong>, and the 49ers have two weeks to plan for this matchup. Kyle Shanahan <\/strong>is one of the brightest offensive minds in football and should be able to craft up a strong gameplan for his rookie quarterback.<\/p>\n
