The fantasy football season is officially in its final stretch. With the trade deadline passed in the majority of leagues, the only way to improve your roster is through smart waiver claims. No matter how good your roster is, you’ll need to make at least one or two moves on the waiver wire if you’re to win your\u00a0championship. With that in mind, running backs\u00a0Rashaad Penny<\/a><\/strong> and\u00a0Jalen Richard<\/a><\/strong> are some smart waiver wire adds for the upcoming slate of games.<\/p>\n

Fantasy Football: Rashaad Penny, Jalen Richard Highlight Week 11 Running Back Waiver Claims<\/h1>\n

Rashaad Penny<\/h2>\n

It finally happened! After months of waiting, it looks like the Seattle Seahawks<\/a> first-round investment in running back Rashaad Penny is starting to pay off. With Chris Carson<\/a><\/strong> inactive, Penny took over the lead role, running for 108 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries.<\/p>\n

Even if Carson returns to the lineup next week, Penny will still probably see a sizable role. Seattle invested a first-round pick in Penny, so they have every reason to play him. It\u2019s hard to imagine Penny returning to the bench after averaging nine yards per carry. Penny probably has the highest ceiling of anyone available on the waiver wire. If you need running back depth, make sure to put in a claim for Penny.<\/p>\n

Jalen Richard<\/h2>\n

The 2018 Oakland Raiders<\/a> are an absolute mess. After trading away Amari Cooper<\/a><\/strong> for a first-round pick, Oakland lost Jordy Nelson<\/a><\/strong> and Martavis Bryant<\/a><\/strong> to separate knee injuries during Week 10. Because of these injuries, the second-best receiver on the Raiders might be running back Jalen Richard.<\/p>\n

It will be hard for Derek Carr <\/strong>to pass the football, but he will still be able to get garbage time yards, at the very least. Carr can\u2019t possibly throw to Jared Cook<\/a><\/strong> on every single drop back, so Richard should get his share of opportunities. Owned in just 4.0% of leagues, Richard offers a fairly safe floor as a receiving back and arguably Oakland\u2019s second-best pure pass catcher.<\/p>\n

Theo Riddick<\/h2>\n

Whether Kerryon Johnson<\/a><\/strong> owners like to admit it or not, Detroit Lions<\/a> running back Theo Riddick<\/a> <\/strong>will be a part of the Lions offense. With Golden Tate<\/a> <\/strong>now a member of the Philadelphia Eagles, the Lions need to find a safety valve for quarterback Matthew Stafford<\/a>.<\/strong> With no better alternative, Theo Riddick may be that guy.<\/p>\n

Riddick recorded six receptions for 60 yards in Sunday\u2019s loss against the Chicago Bears<\/a>. While this production isn\u2019t the greatest, it\u2019s still a solid day at the office, especially in a PPR league. The Lions face off against a Panthers team that has not played up to the sum of its\u2019 parts during the season. Riddick could be in for another big night in the passing game.<\/p>\n
