Below are some Week nine fantasy football starts and sits to help you win this week.

Week Nine Fantasy Football Starts and Sits

Dak Prescott

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has been one of the most consistent quarterbacks so far this season. He has scored over 17 fantasy points in seven out of the eight games he has started this season. In week nine Prescott has a very favorable match up vs the Cleveland Browns. The Browns have been giving up the fourth most fantasy points to quarterbacks so far this season.

Jameis Winston

Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston has been some what inconsistent this season but he is averaging 16 fantasy points per game. In Week nine the former Florida State quarterback has a favorable match up vs the Atlanta Falcons. Atlanta is giving up the second most fantasy points to quarterbacks so far in 2016. This is the Thursday night game.

Jay Ajayi

Miami Dolphins runny back Jay Ajayi is coming off back-to-back 200-yard performances in his last two games. Ajayi is coming off of a bye in Week eight and he has a solid matchup in Week nine vs the New York Jets. Gang Green have been a decent matchup for opposing running backs this season. With the departure of Arian Foster due to retirement Ajayi should get the bulk of the carries.

Christine Michael

Seattle Seahawks running back Christine Michael has been one of the best running backs so far this season. Michaels is averaging almost 12 fantasy points per game which has him ranked as the 16th fantasy running back. In Week nine he has a favorable match up on Monday night vs the Buffalo Bills who opposing backs have fared well against so far this season.

Jarvis Landry

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jarvis Landry is having a good season. He is averaging nine fantasy points per game through Week eight. In Week nine he will face a New York Jets secondary that has been vulnerable to the passing game. The Jets are giving up the most fantasy points to wide receivers so far the season.

Brandin Cooks

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Brandin Cooks is coming off three games where he averaged 14 fantasy points. Look for Cooks’ production to continue when the Saints take on the San Francisco 49ers The 49ers are giving up the 10th most fantasy points to wide receivers so far this season.

Delanie Walker

Tennessee Titans tight end Delanie Walker is coming off back-to-back solid games where he totaled 160 yards and a touchdown. Walker should continue to put up good numbers vs the San Diego Chargers who have been a solid match up for tight ends this season.

Jack Doyle

Indianapolis Colts tight end Jack Doyle has quietly been one of the best tight ends over the past few weeks. Doyle is averaging seven fantasy per game over that span. In Week nine he has a solid matchup vs the Green Bay Packers who have a very beaten up secondary.

Sits

Eli Manning

New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning has struggled so far this season and is only averaging 13 fantasy points per game. Many thought that with Manning having one of the best wide receiving corps in the NFL he would be having a much better season. But the offense has been very inconsistent in 2016. In Week nine Manning and the Giants offense have a difficult matchup vs the Philadelphia Eagles.

Tyrod Taylor

Buffalo Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor is having a solid season considering the weapons he has on offense have been injured almost every week. Taylor has made due with what he has and he’s also been using his legs a lot to score consistent fantasy points. He is averaging 16 points per game so far the season. But in Week nine Taylor has a difficult matchup on Monday night vs the Seattle Seahawks on the road. The Seahawks are giving up the sixth fewest fantasy points to quarterbacks this season.

Mark Ingram

Saints running back Mark Ingram has not lived up to expectations this season. Ingram is averaging 60 yards per game and has only two touchdowns so far. In last week’s game Ingram had a costly fumble which led to a touchdown for the Carolina Panthers and was benched for the remainder of the game.

Reports coming out of New Orleans are saying that the Saints will use a running back by committee approach with Ingram and Tim Hightower. When Ingram was seeing a full workload he was averaging 60 yards per game and now that he is splitting carries he will likely rush for even fewer yards. Ingram does have a solid matchup in Week nine vs the 49ers but he is a risky play.

Ryan Mathews

Philadelphia Eagles running back Ryan Mathews is in a true running back by committee. He is splitting carries with several other running backs and saw a total of only seven touches last week vs the Dallas Cowboys. One of those carries did end up in a short yardage touchdown, but he simply isn’t getting the ball enough to start him in fantasy. With the Eagles using a running back by committee and having a difficult matchup vs Giants, Matthews is a risky play in this week.

Marvin Jones

Detroit Lions wide receiver Marvin Jones started off the season hot but has since cooled down over the last couple of weeks. With the Lions offensive weapons getting healthier Stafford is passing the ball around to his other targets more, which has limited Jones. Jones also has a difficult matchup vs the Minnesota Vikings who have allowed the second fewest points to wide receivers so far this season.

Doug Baldwin

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin is coming off a career season in 2015 and was selected fairly high in fantasy drafts this season. But Baldwin has failed to live up to his off-season hype and is averaging only eight points per game this season. But Baldwin has a solid matchup vs the Buffalo Bills and wide receivers have fared well against the Bills this season. With the struggles that Seattle’s offense has had this season Baldwin is a risk/reward play on Monday night in Week nine.

Charles Clay

Buffalo Bills tight end Charles Clay has been a boom or bust player this season. Clay is averaging three fantasy points per game which has him ranked as the 24th tight end. Clay has a difficult matchup on Monday night vs the Seattle Seahawks in Seattle. The Seahawks are giving up the seventh fewest fantasy points to tight ends so far this season.

Zach Ertz

Philadelphia Eagles tight end Zack Ertz has been a sleeper candidate through the last couple of off-seasons, but he has yet to live up to the hype. Ertz has been inconsistent this season and is only averaging two fantasy points per game. He has also dealt with a few injuries that has kept him out of a few games in 2016. In Week nine Ertz has to face the Giants who have been tough on tight ends so far this season.

Main Photo

Embed from Getty Images

Winning week to week in fantasy football is all about playing the match ups.
