I dissect the top ten lineups in each of those contests to examine whether they used stacks in their lineups, or not, in order to see what kind of stacks were the most effective. Next, we will review my top game-stack recommendations from last week. Each week I give you my top games to exploit by stacking players in GPP lineups for daily fantasy football. Last, I give you my top games to target this week, including game-stacks from each one of those games for use in daily fantasy football in week eight.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h1>Week Eight Daily Fantasy Football Lineup Stacks<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h1>\n<h2>Reviewing Week Seven GPP Winners Lineups<\/h2>\n<p>This is where we look back at the winning GPP lineups from last week. Each week I look at the top 10 winners in a variety of GPPs to check whether they used stacks in their lineups. By doing this, we can see what kind of lineup stacking was most effective at winning in daily fantasy football GPP contests that week. Also, we can see which stacking method is the most effective over the course of the season. Here are the statistics from this past weeks GPP contests. Contest info found at (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.draftkings.com\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Draft Kings<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>No stack 7.5%<\/p>\n<p>Stack 30%<\/p>\n<p>Game-stack 10%<\/p>\n<p>Super-stack 31.25%<\/p>\n<p>Super game-stack 21.25%<\/p>\n<p>The results were pretty spread out this week as were the fantasy points scored by players. The two best games to stack in week seven daily fantasy football were the <a href=\"http:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/giants\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">New York Giants<\/a>&#8211;<a href=\"http:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/falcons\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Atlanta Falcons<\/a> and the <a href=\"http:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/patriots\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">New England Patriots<\/a>&#8211;<a href=\"http:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/bears\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Chicago Bears<\/a> games. I&#8217;m happy to report that these were two of the three games I recommended to target in my <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/2018\/10\/17\/daily-fantasy-football-lineup-stacks-week-seven-options\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Daily Fantasy Football Lineup Stacks and Week Seven Options<\/a> article.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The third game that I suggested we target with some game-stacks was the <a href=\"http:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/bengals\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cincinnati Bengals<\/a>&#8211;<a href=\"http:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/chiefs\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kansas City Chiefs<\/a> game. That also worked out extremely well if you used <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/H\/HuntKa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kareem Hunt<\/a><\/strong> along with <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/M\/MahoPa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Patrick Mahomes<\/a><\/strong> in a stack. They finished first and second in scoring on Draft Kings in week seven. Let&#8217;s take a look at how my favorite stacks from Week Seven worked out. Well, at least two out of the three did. The average pay-line across the GPP contests that I examined from week seven was 149. That means you needed 3x (150 points) or better to hit the score needed to win some cash. Two out of my three favorite stacks exceeded the 3x mark and should have had you well on your way to cashing.<\/p>\n<p>We were definitely looking in the right place for fantasy options with my games to target last week. Players from those games are all over the top of the scoring leaderboard. I\u2019m aiming to keep things rolling and target some winners again this week.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Games to Target for Daily Fantasy Football and Top Lineup Stacks for Week Eight<\/h2>\n<h3><a href=\"http:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/packers\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Green Bay Packers<\/a> at <a href=\"http:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/rams\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Los Angeles Rams<\/a><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>O\/U (56.5) Rams -9.5<\/p>\n<p>Implied points: Rams 33, Packers 23.5<\/p>\n<p>This week&#8217;s contest between the Packers and Rams is packed with fantasy goodness. On one side we have one of the top quarterback\/wide receiver duos in the League in <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/R\/RodgAa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Aaron Rodgers<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/A\/AdamDa01.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Davante Adams<\/a><\/strong>. The Packers also have some good complementary receivers in <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/C\/CobbRa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Randall Cobb<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/A\/AlliGe01.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Geronimo Allison<\/a><\/strong>, when healthy. Both missed Green Bay&#8217;s last game before their bye week. On the other side, we have the top running back in the game, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/G\/GurlTo01.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Todd Gurley<\/a><\/strong>, along with a recently struggling passing attack that is down one of their key players in <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/K\/KuppCo00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cooper Kupp<\/a><\/strong>. Kupp suffered an MCL sprain in Week Six and is questionable to play this week.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/G\/GoffJa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jared Goff<\/a><\/strong> hasn\u2019t been a very good fantasy quarterback since his last home game in Week Four. The Rams have been on the road the last three weeks and have rattled off three straight road wins on the back of Gurley. It will be interesting to see if head coach and play-caller <strong>Sean McVay<\/strong> opens up the passing game a little more this week now that the Rams will be playing at home.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Either way, this should be a high scoring game with both offenses capable of moving the ball on each other&#8217;s defense. The fantasy points should be abundant and that\u2019s why I recommend building a few variations of stacks from this game. Here\u2019s a look at my favorite game-stack from the Packers-Rams.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Aaron Rodgers \/ Davante Adams \/ Geronimo Allison \/ Todd Gurley<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"http:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/broncos\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Denver Broncos<\/a> at <a href=\"http:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/chiefs\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kansas City Chiefs<\/a><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>O\/U (55) Chiefs -10<\/p>\n<p>Implied points: Chiefs 32.5, Broncos 22.5<\/p>\n<p>The Chiefs offense has been on fire the first half of the season. Second-year quarterback Patrick Mahomes has been a world beater up to this point in the season. Kareem Hunt has also really turned it on the past few weeks finishing as a top seven back three of the past four games. I expect both players will have big games again this week. I also like Travis Kelce this week. All three did well against the Broncos when they faced them in Week Four. Of course you can never count out <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/H\/HillTy00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tyreek Hill<\/a><\/strong> or <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/W\/WatkSa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sammy Watkins<\/a><\/strong> either. Both are also very much in play for DFS this week.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The Chiefs defense historically plays better at home. I expect the Chiefs to get the lead and the Broncos to be in catch-up mode for most of this one. Look for the Broncos pass catchers to be active this week. Meaning <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/T\/ThomDe03.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Demaryius Thomas<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/S\/SuttCo00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Courtland Sutton<\/a><\/strong> are in play this week for DFS. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/S\/SandEm00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Emmanuel Sanders<\/a><\/strong> is a great play this week like he is most weeks. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/L\/LindPh00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Phillip Lindsay<\/a><\/strong> should also be on the radar for DFS. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/F\/FreeRo00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Royce Freeman<\/strong><\/a> suffered an ankle injury last week. Plus, the Chiefs have given up big points to running backs this season. They\u2019ve given up the third most Draft Kings points to the position. I like the running backs her along with Mahomes and a pass catcher.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>Here\u2019s a look at my favorite stack from the Broncos-Chiefs game.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Patrick Mahomes \/ Kareem Hunt \/ Travis Kelce \/ Phillip Lindsay<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"http:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/saints\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">New Orleans Saints<\/a> at <a href=\"http:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/vikings\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Minnesota Vikings<\/a><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>O\/U 52 Even<\/p>\n<p>Implied points: Saints 26, Vikings 26<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s a game ripe for the daily fantasy football pickings. Two teams with loaded offenses facing off in a dome is a dream matchup to target. While the Vikings defense is good, I don\u2019t believe they are going to be able to slow down the Saints offense and the Saints defense isn&#8217;t slowing down anyone. This should be a high scoring, high flying passing bonanza. The pass catchers in this matchup are some of the best in the business and the quarterbacks are also about as good as they come. This would be another game to mix and match a few stacks across your lineups if you\u2019re a multiple lineups player like me.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>I like the receiving options for the Vikings the most here. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/T\/ThieAd00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Adam Thielen<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/D\/DiggSt00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Stefon Diggs<\/a><\/strong> have seen an immense target volume this season. Both receivers average over 10 targets per game. I like the idea of building multiple lineups around these two players this week.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/B\/BreeDr00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Drew Brees<\/a><\/strong> has some negative home\/road splits. However, this game is in a dome so environmental impacts shouldn\u2019t be an issue, outside of maybe crowd noise. I like Brees for DFS this week but choosing a teammate to stack him with is difficult. This is another reason why I prefer to build multiple lineups so that I can play a few different variations of game-stacks when I love a matchup. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/search\/search.fcgi?pid=ThomMi02,ThomMi05&amp;search=Michael+Thomas&amp;utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Michael Thomas<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/K\/KamaAl00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Alvin Kamara<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/search\/search.fcgi?pid=IngrMa00,IngrMa01&amp;search=Mark+Ingram&amp;utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mark Ingram<\/a><\/strong>, and <strong>Tre\u2019Quan Smith<\/strong> are all interesting options. Good luck in picking the one that has the big game. Here\u2019s a look at my favorite stack from the Saints-Vikings game.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/C\/CousKi00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kirk Cousins\u00a0<\/a><\/strong>\/ Adam Thielen \/ Stefon Diggs \/ Michael Thomas<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>I know some of these stacks take up quite a bit of the salary cap but with all of the recent injury news and player transactions, a lot of value is available on the DFS sites this week. So all of these stacks are viable plays for daily fantasy football in Week Eight.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Week Eight daily fantasy football is here. Let\u2019s stack those lineups and stack that cash this week. Remember these stacks are meant for use in small to medium size GPPs with something like 500-5,000 entrants. If you\u2019re playing in the bigger GPPs it might make sense to switch one of the high priced more chalky players for a lower price slightly less popular player in the matchup and hope that player has the bigger week. Being a little contrarian helps you separate yourself from the field when playing in the much larger GPP contests. Good luck this week.
