This week’s single-game daily fantasy sports content presents another challenge for Fanduel players. With no real superstar in the game, along with quarterbacks that can be very hit or miss, it will be tough to identify whom you want to fade and who you want to make your MVP.<\/p>\n
Last week I was able to correctly identify the MVP in the game. I told players to slot A.J. Green<\/a><\/strong> in that spot which worked out nicely, but I also faded both quarterbacks, which was a mistake. Depending on the contest, if you went by my strategy you probably made a few bucks and that was about it.<\/p>\n This week\u2019s MVP could be a couple of players, but I am going with Cleveland Browns<\/a> wide receiver Jarvis Landry<\/strong><\/a>. Landry has shown to be a jack-of-all-trades on the field, including being a great possession receiver while making spectacular catches.<\/p>\n Landry has posted 12 receptions for 175 yards for no touchdowns so far this season. However, without Josh Gordon<\/a><\/strong> in the lineup anymore, Landry should get an uptick in targets.<\/p>\n The receiver some call \u201cJuice\u201d does have a knee injury that owners do have to worry about. He suffered the injury during the Saints game though he didn\u2019t miss any snaps, he has been limited in practice the last few days.<\/p>\n Landry also has to face a tough Jets defense. One that intercepted Matthew Stafford<\/a> <\/strong>multiple times and gave Ryan Tannehill<\/a><\/strong> fits. The defense isn\u2019t playing around, especially with safety Jamal Adams<\/a> <\/strong>in the secondary.<\/p>\n However, it is hard to make the case for any other player to be the MVP. It is hard to pick a quarterback due to both Tyrod Taylor<\/a><\/strong> and Sam Darnold<\/a><\/strong>\u2019s inconsistencies. It is hard to make the case for a running back on either team due to timeshares and the fact that this game could very well turn into a \u201cshootout\u201d or some sorts.<\/p>\n And then outside of Landry, there aren\u2019t many receivers that DFS players should feel comfortable rostering. The Jets receiving corps is a toss up and for the Browns,\u00a0Antonio Callaway<\/a><\/strong> is young and inconsistent and tight end David Njoku<\/a><\/strong> has produced very little so far this season.<\/p>\n So that means Landry should be your MVP.<\/p>\n The rest of your lineup is a bit of a crapshoot but I am changing my strategy a bit this week. With both quarterbacks coming in as the priciest options of the day, it would be near impossible to roster both, Landry, and still have money to put together a somewhat decent lineup.<\/p>\n When it came down to it, I went with the seasoned veteran over the promising rookie. The rest of my lineup looks like this: Tyrod Taylor, Isaiah Crowell<\/a><\/strong>, David Njoku, and Duke Johnson<\/a> Jr.<\/strong><\/p>\n Needing to pick one player from both teams, the lone Jets player on my team is Crowell. In order to place, anyone with this lineup will have to hope the Jets score on the ground a lot. Any touchdowns thrown from Darnold to any of the receivers would be detrimental to this lineup.<\/p>\n Whichever direction you choose to go in, the waters are murky in this one.
