While focusing on defense isn’t the sexiest move, it’s savvy moves like this that keep you ahead in your fantasy league. Defenses like the Chicago Bears and Seattle Seahawks should be among the top fantasy football week three defenses, and, chances are, they’re available in your league.

Top Week Three Running Back Waiver Targets

Top Week Three Wide Receiver Waiver Targets

Top Week Three Quarterback Waiver Targets

Chicago Bears, Seattle Seahawks Top Fantasy Football Week Three Defenses

Chicago Bears

Astonishingly, the Chicago Bears defense is owned in just 46.9% of NFL.com fantasy leagues. Don’t let Week One’s collapse fool you, this unit is one of the best in all of football. With a ferocious front seven led by Khalil Mack, this team is capable of getting sacks and forcing turnovers by the dozen.

Additionally, the Bears are going up against the anemic Arizona Cardinals in Week Three. Arizona has put up a measly six points throughout the first two games of the season. SIX! They’ve yet to score a touchdown and have no way to move the football outside of running back David Johnson. The offensive line is horrific, and the Bears defense should feast on Sam Bradford and the Cardinals passing attack. If you’re fortunate enough to play in a league where the Bears defense is on waivers, make sure to pick them up.

Seattle Seahawks

Despite only having Earl Thomas remaining from the Legion of Boom, the Seattle Seahawks defense has done a solid job, at least in the world of fantasy football. While they allowed 27 points in Week One, they also recorded a sack and three interceptions. This week, they forced two interceptions while allowing just 17 points to an impressive Bears team. They did this despite a powerful Bears defense stifling the Seattle offense, which thus gave the Bears offense more possessions.

The main reason they’re here is that they face a favorable matchup in Week Three. The Dallas Cowboys offense has struggled these first two weeks, with quarterback Dak Prescott regressing tremendously. The offense lacks creativity and has no way to move the ball without using running back Ezekiel Elliott. While you certainly wouldn’t want to put this unit up against a top offense, they should be able to put together a good performance against Dallas.

Cleveland Browns

Yes, the Cleveland Browns are actually on this list. Despite sitting at 0-1-1, the Cleveland Browns defense has impressed through the first two games of the season. Despite facing the New Orleans Saints and the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Cleveland Browns recorded a combined 23 fantasy points. The Browns defense has combined for seven sacks, three interceptions, and five fumble recoveries against what should be two of the best offenses in football.

The Browns take on a Jets team led by rookie quarterback Sam Darnold in Week Three. After a strong debut against the Detroit Lions, Darnold threw just one touchdown and two interceptions against an average Dolphins defense. Trusting the Browns to do anything is always a risky proposition, but Cleveland’s defense should be a good matchup start.

Main photo:
Embed from Getty Images

The Chicago Bears are among the best fantasy football week three defenses, and that unit – and several other good ones – are still available in your league

[23,8,54,59,32
42,264,294,61,40,179
post-49597","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-bears","category-browns","category-editorials","category-fantasy","category-seahawks","tag-chicago-bears","tag-cleveland-browns","tag-fantasy-football","tag-football","tag-nfl","tag-seattle-seahawks
["GET
