Blocking on a third down, Wynn was pushed towards quarterback Tom Brady, who appeared to accidentally step on Wynn’s foot. Wynn immediately struggled to put weight on the foot, limping to the sideline. After a quick examination, the training staff carted Wynn to the Patriots locker room.

The Patriots selected Wynn in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft. The former Georgia Bulldog was competing for the starting right tackle spot, seeing time with the starting offensive line. While he started the preseason game on the bench, Wynn started playing on the third offensive drive of the game, while the starters were still on the field.

Prior to joining the NFL, Wynn spent four years at the University of Georgia. Serving as both a tackle and a guard, Wynn was arguably the best offensive lineman on one of the best rushing attacks in all of college football. While some questioned his undersized build, the Patriots have used the former Bulldog primarily as a tackle.

Interestingly, Wynn is one of a series of former Bulldogs currently on the Patriots roster.
