Each division has a true standings leader except for the <strong>AFC West<\/strong> which has Oakland and Denver tied at 4-2. We have the <strong>Dallas Cowboys<\/strong>\u00a0and the\u00a0<strong>Carolina Panthers\u00a0<\/strong>on bye this week,<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>with back to back six team bye weeks on tap for Weeks Eight and Nine. This is a good chance to solidify fantasy positions before the big waiver wire adds.<\/p>\n<h2>Week Seven Fantasy Football: Boom or Bust<\/h2>\n<p>This is not just a \u201cgarden variety\u201d fantasy football column. Recommending to start\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/B\/BradTo00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tom Brady<\/a><\/strong>, or sit a backup running back is a waste of time. The \u201cBooms\u201d will be those players that have under-performed this season, but project to do well this week. Start as a WR2 with confidence.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Mohammed Sanu<\/strong><strong>, Atlanta Falcons, WR<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Matchup:<\/strong>\u00a0Home vs. San Diego Chargers<br \/>\n<strong>Year To Date\u00a0Positional Rank:<\/strong>\u00a050th<br \/>\n<strong>Projection:<\/strong>\u00a0WR24 or better<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Chargers<\/strong> travel to Atlanta with an extra three days of preparation. A win against the <strong>Falcons\u00a0<\/strong>could vault them back into the playoff picture. Game script plays a big role here as the concerns need to be stopping <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/J\/JoneJu02.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Julio Jones<\/a><\/strong> and the running back tandem of <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/F\/FreeDe00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Devonta Freeman<\/a><\/strong>\/<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/C\/ColeTe01.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tevin Coleman<\/a><\/strong>. Always a part of the offense in multiple ways, look for Sanu to have a WR2 floor in Week Seven.<\/p>\n<h3><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/W\/WilsRu00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Russell Wilson<\/a><\/strong><strong>, Seattle Seahawks,\u00a0QB<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Matchup:<\/strong>\u00a0Away vs. <strong>Arizona Cardinals<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Year To Date\u00a0Positional Rank:<\/strong>\u00a023rd<br \/>\n<strong>Projection:<\/strong>\u00a0Top 12 QB<\/p>\n<p>Fantasy analysts need to &#8220;go deeper.&#8221; On the surface, Seattle at Arizona seems like a defensive struggle. However, the last two games between these teams have produced scores of 39-32 and 36-6. In those games, Wilson has averaged 23 fantasy points. This year both defenses have failed to live up to expectations, and on <strong>Sunday Night Football<\/strong> this will be a high scoring affair. It is about time for Wilson to start his annual come from behind assent up the fantasy quarterback rankings. That will begin with 25+ fantasy points at Arizona.<\/p>\n<h3><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/K\/KaepCo00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Colin Kaepernick<\/a><\/strong><strong>, San Francisco 49ers,\u00a0QB<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Matchup:<\/strong>\u00a0Home vs. Tampa Bay<br \/>\n<strong>Year To Date\u00a0Positional Rank:<\/strong>\u00a039th<br \/>\n<strong>Projection:<\/strong>\u00a0Top 12 QB<\/p>\n<p>Kaepernick scored 19 fantasy points in his first start since <strong>Week Eight<\/strong> of last season. Throw in a tough <strong>Bills<\/strong> defense, and that&#8217;s a fairly impressive performance. He&#8217;s 28 years old and will be under center in his first game in <strong>Chip Kelly&#8217;s<\/strong> offense, the same system that made <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/F\/FoleNi00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Nick Foles<\/a><\/strong> a Pro Bowler. Kaepernick faces\u00a0a <strong>Tampa Bay<\/strong> defense that is 19th against opposing fantasy quarterbacks. Chip Kelly + Kaepernick&#8217;s running ability = a huge fantasy performance.<\/p>\n<h3><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/B\/BookDe00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Devontae Booker<\/a><\/strong><strong>, Denver Broncos, RB<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Matchup:<\/strong>\u00a0Home vs.\u00a0<strong>Houston Texans<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Year To Date\u00a0Positional Rank:<\/strong>\u00a054th<br \/>\n<strong>Projection:<\/strong>\u00a0RB24 or better<\/p>\n<p>Booker has increased his role in the offense each of the last three games. Coach <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/K\/KubiGa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Gary Kubiak<\/a><\/strong> has even stated that Booker deserves more work. Houston only ranks 16th against opposing fantasy running backs, and the clear waiver move is to grab Booker now. The next three defenses he faces after this week rank 26th, 28th, and 32nd against opposing running backs. While Michael did score, the Seahawks failed to get the running game going consistently. As a team they averaged just 2.7 yards per carry. This week they travel to Arizona for <strong>Su<\/strong><strong>nday Night Football<\/strong>. The Cardinals have the sixth ranked defense in the league in points per game (17.3 ppg). Do not rely on Michael to produce RB1 points this week, and watch rookie <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/C\/CollAl00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Alex Collins<\/a><\/strong> get more touches as well. Michael could serve as an RB2 if you have bye week issues, but should be on the bench in most situations.<\/p>\n<h3><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/C\/CookBr00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Brandin Cooks<\/a>, New Orleans Saints, WR<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Matchup:<\/strong>\u00a0Away vs. Kansas City Chiefs<br \/>\n<strong>Year To Date\u00a0Positional Rank:<\/strong>\u00a013th<br \/>\n<strong>Projection:<\/strong>\u00a0WR24 or worse<\/p>\n<p>Cooks was incredible last week with the third best fantasy wide receiver line: seven catches for 173 yards and a touchdown. The issue remains his extreme weekly volatility. In standard scoring leagues Cooks&#8217; weekly output has been: 27, 6, 1, 3, and 23 points respectively. This week he faces a <strong>Kansas City<\/strong> team that outside of the <strong>Sunday Night Football<\/strong> game at <strong>Pittsburgh<\/strong>, has done fairly well against opposing wide receivers. The Chiefs boast the sixth best overall defense in\u00a0total yards allowed, and cornerback <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/P\/PeteMa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Marcus Peters<\/a><\/strong> is leading the league in interceptions with five. In two outdoor games this year Cooks is averaging five catches for 49 yards.<\/p>\n<h3><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/search\/search.fcgi?pid=BrowAn04,BrowAn01&amp;search=Antonio+Brown&amp;utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Antonio Brown<\/a>, Pittsburgh Steelers,\u00a0WR<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Matchup:<\/strong>\u00a0Home vs. New England Patriots<br \/>\n<strong>Year To Date\u00a0Positional Rank:<\/strong>\u00a02nd<br \/>\n<strong>Projection:<\/strong>\u00a0WR24 or\u00a0worse<\/p>\n<p>Back to life, back to reality.
