It marked the third time in his four seasons with the Browns that he finished as the team’s leading rusher. His yardage total ranked 18th among the league’s running backs.

The year before, Crowell had his most prolific season as a pro in terms of yards from scrimmage. He gained 952 yards on the ground and added a further 319 receiving yards. In the team’s home opener against the Baltimore Ravens, Crowell broke off an 85-yard scamper for a score which remains a career long.

2015 saw Crowell add a further 706 rushing yards and four touchdowns. His standout performance of the season came in a 24-10 win over the San Francisco 49ers, their third and final of the season. Crowell gained 145 yards on 20 carries and found the end zone twice.

As a rookie, Crowell did a fairly impressive job distinguishing himself with his play. Though he made just four starts and finished second on the team in rushing yards behind Terrence West, he managed eight touchdown runs. That ended up being second among rookies behind only the Cincinnati Bengals’ Jeremy Hill.

Crowell signed with the Browns after going unselected in the 2014 NFL Draft. He initially played collegiately at Georgia with the AP naming him their freshman of the year after he rushed for 850 yards and five touchdowns in 2011. But he was dismissed from the team the following summer after a firearms related arrest and a failed drug test. He then transferred to Alabama State, accumulating 2,813 yards and 35 touchdowns in his three seasons there.

Embed from Getty Images

During three of his first four seasons in the NFL, all with the Cleveland Browns, Isaiah Crowell led the team in rushing yards.

[36,8
264,61,1212,40,1608
post-38515","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-nfl-news","category-browns","tag-cleveland-browns","tag-football","tag-isaiah-crowell","tag-nfl","tag-nfl-free-agency
["GET
