Miller was arrested early Saturday morning November 12 in Jacksonville, Florida. <a href=\"http:\/\/profootballtalk.nbcsports.com\/2017\/11\/13\/roy-millers-wife-accused-him-of-pulling-hair-out-in-front-of-kids\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">According to police reports<\/a>, Miller physically confronted his wife, <strong>Nicole Miller, <\/strong>after the conflation of a verbal fight. The Chiefs were on their bye week.<\/p>\n<h1><strong>Kansas City Chiefs Roy Miller Released Following Domestic Battery Charges <\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>Early Saturday morning, Roy Miller was arrested in Jacksonville, Florida on brutal domestic abuse accusations from his wife Nicole Miller. Beginning as a vocal argument, a fight escalated to a physical confrontation in which Miller grabbed his wife by the hair, pushed her, then threw her phone in the toilet and prevented her from retrieving the device. After she was able to retrieve the phone, Roy Miller barricaded himself in their bedroom.<\/p>\n<p>Further reports indicated Nicole Miller had a braid torn from her head in addition to small facial abrasions and a scratch on her neck. Their children were home, but unharmed.<\/p>\n<p>One key witness stated she heard, \u201cThumping coming from inside the room as if someone was being hit.\u201d When police arrived, they found Roy Miller sleeping. He complied to discuss matters with police and was arrested at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>Miller was released from jail Saturday evening after a hearing set a trial date for November 28. Later that day, the Chiefs released a statement saying they were gathering facts. However, in a statement via the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kansascity.com\/sports\/nfl\/kansas-city-chiefs\/article184373343.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kansas City Star<\/a> on Monday afternoon, head coach <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/R\/ReidAn20.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Andy Reid<\/a><\/strong> stated, \u201cWe did release Roy and we\u2019re going to move on from that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>With the release of Miller, Reid indicated general manager <strong>Brett Veach <\/strong>is looking for another lineman to take his spot, reassuring, \u201c[I\u2019m sure] something will happen fairly quickly here.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Miller signed with the Chiefs this off-season after playing with the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/buccaneers\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tampa Bay Buccaneers<\/a> for four years and the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/jaguars\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jacksonville Jaguars<\/a> for another four years.
