This loss, however, was the Broncos fourth consecutive one since their bye week back in September.<\/span><\/p>\n<h1><strong>Is the Denver Broncos Hope for Success Gone?<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When the Broncos made the executive decision to sit <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/S\/SiemTr00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Trevor Siemian<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, there was a slight sense of hope that <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/O\/OsweBr00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Brock Osweiler<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> could be the man that goes from zero-to-hero and turn things around for the team and be the guy to put their offense back on the map as a force to be reckoned with. After all, he\u2019s played there before, he knows the system and learned from arguably one of the greatest quarterbacks to play the game \u2013 <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/M\/MannPe00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Peyton Manning<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. But whatever hope Denver fans had going into Sunday\u2019s game was quickly swept away by the Eagles defense and dominating offense. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After the devastating defeat, the Broncos agreed that changing quarterbacks, in fact, didn\u2019t help repair their already badly damaged offense. Needless to say, this team&#8217;s got a lot of problems to fix. With the <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.patriots.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">New England Patriots<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on their schedule for the upcoming week, things will likely be the same for the 3-5 Broncos team.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201c<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/story\/_\/id\/21304802\/nfl-denver-broncos-nosedive-brewing-long\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We didn\u2019t play well, period<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,\u201d said Broncos linebacker <\/span><b><\/b><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/M\/MillVo00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Von Miller<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in a postgame interview. \u201c<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/story\/_\/id\/21304802\/nfl-denver-broncos-nosedive-brewing-long\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">51 points is tough<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Throughout the game, the Eagles defense held the Broncos to just 35 yards on the ground \u2013 an all-time low this season. To make matters worse, the Denver Broncos missed key blocks, dropped countless passes, and finished the game with a bunch of unnecessary penalties.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Head coach <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/J\/JoseVa20.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Vance Joseph<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> told press members after the game, \u201c<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.denverpost.com\/2017\/11\/05\/vance-joseph-broncos-blowout-loss-mark-kiszla\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It starts with me<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,\u201d implying that the Broncos have some major issues they need to address and fast, starting with the quarterback situation and working their way down the pyramid. \u201cI\u2019m the head coach here,\u201d <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.denverpost.com\/2017\/11\/05\/vance-joseph-broncos-blowout-loss-mark-kiszla\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">he said<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, \u201cI\u2019ve got to fix this.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As of now, it\u2019s clear that the offensive players have very little confidence moving forward. They don\u2019t have a solid quarterback, their coaching staff can\u2019t provide a solution, and the team continues to put whoever is under center in harm&#8217;s way. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Broncos defense early on established themselves as the best-run defense in the league. But on Sunday it was clear, if the Broncos defense didn\u2019t hold up their end of the bargain early on in the season, things for this team would have quickly gone from bad to worse. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That being said, the Eagles showed no mercy to the league&#8217;s best defense. They finished the game with 197 rushing yards and found their way into the end zone more than once. <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/A\/AjayJa00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jay Ajayi<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, \u2013 who&#8217;s only been an Eagle for about a week now \u2013 also found his way into the end zone as he scored a 46-yard touchdown within a minute of being put in the game.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Reality Check<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In short, the Broncos have to face the harsh reality and come up with a plan to overcome this embarrassing loss. Six years ago, the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonprofootball.com\/nfl-teams\/lions\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Detroit Lions <\/a>nailed the Broncos to the wall with a <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sandiegouniontribune.com\/sdut-lions-batter-tebow-beat-broncos-45-10-2011oct30-story.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">45-10<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> win in Denver under <\/span><b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/T\/TeboTi00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tim Tebow<\/a><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which left them scratching their heads as they tried to figure out their next move. Could this be a similar situation in Broncos history? Are the coaches to blame? Or is it the general managers<\/span><b> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pro-football-reference.com\/players\/E\/ElwaJo00.htm?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">John Elway<\/a>&#8216;s<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> fault, since his job is to hire great coaches and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/sportsmanagement.adelphi.edu\/resources\/articles\/4-things-that-great-general-managers-do\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">negotiate deals with sports agents to get the best player<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> on the team?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For Broncos fans: <\/span><b>Jim Schwartz<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> was the Lions head coach that cold October afternoon, and he currently works the Eagles as their defensive coordinator, which means he\u2019s officially a problem for the Broncos when his name is on their schedule.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To lighten the mood, however, it\u2019s clear that this isn\u2019t just a Siemian issue, it\u2019s a Broncos issue. The Broncos need their coaching staff to step up now more than ever and come up with a solution. Sieman took most of the blame early on in the season, but with him sitting out this game and Osweiler doing no better, at what point does it become the coach\u2019s responsibility?
