Last year the Packers defeated the Dallas Cowboys in a thriller to send them to the NFC Championship game against the Atlanta Falcons. Aaron Rodgers had been miraculous in both games in Jerry-World, and it continued today. The Packers trailed by four points with just over a minute left in the game. After an impressive half last week against the Chicago Bears, Jones reportedly got most of the first team reps in practice throughout the week. Williams, however, was drafted higher than Jones and is thought to be better in pass protection. As it turned out, Jones started the game and made the most of his opportunity. He finished the night rushing for 125 yards and a touchdown. Jones also had a great night protecting Rodgers, which is a great way to earn the trust of your teammates. After a performance like that, Jones may eventually push to be the teams starter in the future. Watch out Ty Montgomery.

What Can’t Lane Taylor Do?

Last week against the Bears, Lane Taylor played his first game of his career at left tackle. Taylor played extremely well and earned another opportunity to play against the Cowboys. A usual starter at left guard, Taylor had another terrific game protecting Rodgers’ blindside. Apart from one bad whiff which led to a sack, Taylor stood his ground and was an integral part of the Packers win in Dallas. If David Bahktiari is out again next week, expect Taylor to start his third game at left tackle.

Aaron Rodgers…The Magician

It seems like week after week the Packers have to lean on the ability of Rodgers and time after time he delivers. Once again, the Packers found themselves down with a little over a minute left and once again Rodgers engineered a 75-yard drive in just 1:02. The drive was capped off with a fade to Adams in the left side of the end zone to win the game. Rodgers finished the day 19 of 29 for 221 yards and three touchdowns. Just another day in Mr. Rodgers’ Neighborhood.

Embed from Getty Images

Week Five Green Bay Packers Takeaways: Aaron Rodgers completed another amazing fourth quarter drive in leading the Packers to a win over the Dallas Cowboys.

[25,54
275,302,49,1039,258,61,44,40
post-31866","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-packers","category-editorials","tag-aaron-rodgers","tag-dak-prescott","tag-dallas-cowboys","tag-davante-adams","tag-ezekiel-elliott","tag-football","tag-green-bay-packers","tag-nfl
["GET
