Below are some week three fantasy football starts and sits to help you to win your week two match up.

Week Three Fantasy Football Starts and Sits

Starts

Cam Newton

Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton has struggled so far this season. He has not scored over 13 fantasy points in the first two games of this season. In week three of the season he has a great match up against the New Orleans Saints who have given up at least 24 fantasy points in each of their first two games this season. Newton should have a solid bounce back game and put up a solid stat line in week three.

Trevor Siemian

Shockingly Denver Broncos quarterback Trevor Siemian has been one of the best quarterback in fantasy so far this season. He has scored 23 or more fantasy points in both of his first two games this season. In week three he has a solid match up against the Buffalo Bills who have been a decent play for quarterbacks so far this season. Siemian is a solid play in week three.

Isaiah Crowell

Cleveland Browns running back Isaiah Crowell has not lived up to the preseason hype he was getting, but has been a solid flex option for fantasy owner so far this season. He is averaging six fantasy points per game but fantasy owners were expecting more as he was drafted on average in the third or fourth round. In week three Crowell has a solid match up against the Indianapolis Colts, a struggling defense so far this season. He should produce solid running back two numbers this week.

Todd Gurley

Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley is having a great bounce back season from his disappointing 2016 season. Gurley has scored over 15 fantasy points per game so far this season. He is coming off a great week two performance where he total 23 fantasy points. Gurley is going up against division opponent the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday night football who have been generous to running backs this season. Gurley is a solid running back one in week three.

Jarvis Landry

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jarvis Landry looked good in week two vs a solid Los Angeles Chargers defense. Landry finished with seven fantasy points which is a solid wide receiver two or high end flex play in standard leagues. Landry has always been a better PPR receiver then standard. In week three he is going up against divisional opponent the New York Jets, who have struggled throughout the season to stop anyone’s offense. Look for laundry to produce solid numbers in week three.

Demaryius Thomas

Denver Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas has been a solid wide receiver two so far this season averaging seven fantasy points per game. He has yet to find the end zone but has been consistent in his production which is sometimes better than the boom or bus performances that many wide receivers produce. In week three he is facing the Buffalo Bills. Look for Thomas to continue to produce solid numbers in week three.

Coby Fleener

New Orleans Saints tight end Coby Fleener has been one of the best draft values so far this season as he was drafted on average in the late rounds or was a waiver wire pick up. Fleener has been one of the best Saints players so far this season averaging 10 fantasy points per game. He is living up to the hype that he received last off-season. Fleener is a solid play in week three against divisional opponent Carolina Panthers. He is a decent replacement if your tight end is struggling so far this season.

Hunter Henry

Los Angeles Chargers tight end Hunter Henry bounce back from his zero point week one to have a solid week two performance of eight fantasy points. With several tight ends going down with injury last week the position is getting thinner and thinner. Henry has a decent match up against divisional opponent Kansas City Chiefs; who gave up 97 yards to Philadelphia Eagles tight end Zach Ertz last week. With all the mouths the Chargers have to feed Henry has some bust potential in week three.

Sits

Carson Palmer

Looks like father time has caught up to Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer. Though two games Palmer is averaging 11 fantasy points per game. In week three he is going up against the Dallas Cowboys who did get shredded by Trevor Siemian last Sunday, but Palmer has looked off so far this season. Fantasy owners should look else where for there quarterback this week.

Blake Bortles

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles 2016 struggles have rolled over into 2017. Bortles has totaled only 20 fantasy point through two games averaging 10 points per game. In week three he is playing in London against a solid Baltimore Ravens defense who is giving up the fewest fantasy points per game to quarterbacks.

Paul Perkins

New York Giants running back Paul Perkins is stuck in a running back by committee. His opportunities have been limited due to the fact that the Giants have been playing from behind in both games. When the Giants are behind they turn to Shane Veeren who is there passing down back. Week three will most likely be the same story as the Giants are facing the Philadelphia Eagles who have been one of the best offenses in the NFL so far this season. So with the Giants most likely playing form behind Perkins will see limited opportunities and should remain on fantasy owners benches in week three.

Joe Mixon

Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon is in a back field by committee, which has limited his opportunities. The Bengals offense has also struggled this season as they have failed to score a touchdown through two games. In week three Mixon is going up against the Green Bay Packers, a team that has been a solid match up for running backs this season. Yet, the Bengals offense makes Mixon a risky play in week three.

Stefon Diggs

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Stefon Diggs had a great week one with 20 fantasy points; then in week two Diggs came back down to earth with only three fantasy points. This was mostly due to starting quarterback Sam Bradford being out due to injury. Diggs has a difficult match up vs the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who have a solid defense this season. If Bradford is out again in week three, Diggs becomes even more of a risk in week three.

Allen Hurns

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Allen Hurns is now the number one wide receiver with Allen Robinson out for the season. He is coming off a solid week two with 14 fantasy points. In week three he is going up against the Baltimore Ravens who have a solid defense and have been tough on receiver giving up the fifth fewest fantasy points per game.

Jimmy Graham

One of the biggest disappointments so far this season is Seattle Seahawks tight end Jimmy Graham. He has a total of one fantasy point through two games this season. Graham might be one of the best tight ends in the league but hasn’t looked like it so far. He is a risky play this week against the Tennessee Titans.

Charles Clay

Buffalo Bills tight end Charles Clay had a tough week to scoring only two and a half fantasy points. Week three isn’t going to be any easier as the Bills are going up against the Denver Broncos who have one of the best defense in the NFL. Clay is a risky play in week three.

Main Image:

Embed from Getty Images

Winning week to week in fantasy football is about playing the match ups.
