As the Ravens prepare to open up training camp at the end of the month, the attention will be on each position battle, every roster move and every standout performance for a team that has its eyes set on a Super Bowl title.

From Lamar Jackson’s pursuit of a championship to several young players looking to earn larger roles, Baltimore enters camp with no shortage of questions that could shape the 2026 season.

3 Top Storylines to Watch Heading Into Baltimore Ravens Training Camp

Coaching Changings Could Reshape Baltimore’s Ceiling

One of the top storylines entering training camp centers on Baltimore’s new coaching staff. With an offseason filled with changes, including rumors about DeAndre Hopkins,, the Ravens are going to look to two new first-year coordinators to stay on track of this Super Bowl caliber roster. New Ravens head coach Jesse Minter is expected to bring back the consistency that was revealed through injuries when the depth and red-zone defense faltered a year ago.

Declan Doyle takes over one of the highest pressure jobs in the league, expected to make the passing offense grow as well as to help a two-time MVP in Jackson continue to become a better, more complete passer. Both of these new coordinators, and how quickly they find their own rhythm, are likely to be critical in how the Ravens perform this year in the race for the Lombardi Trophy.

Can the Ravens Finally Solve Their Red Zone Problems?

Baltimore has one of the worst red zone touchdown percentages in the NFL and how they plan to address it is easily one of their top storylines heading into training camp. The Ravens’ red-zone offense took one of the league’s biggest steps backward in 2025. After converting 73.97% of its red-zone trips into touchdowns in 2024, the Ravens fell to just 47.46% in 2025, tying for 27th in the NFL with the New York Giants. By comparison, league-leading Philadelphia scored touchdowns on 70.21% of its red-zone possessions, highlighting just how costly Baltimore’s struggles became inside the 20-yard line.

<smartframe-embed class="smartframe_wp_element" customer-id="b0c95bc04383cef69c6b47df872135cf" image-id="WmOB3PZ4coUr" style="width: 100%; display: inline-flex; max-width: 3645px; aspect-ratio: 3645/2430;" ></smartframe-embed>

The addition of Elijah Sarratt in the fourth round of the NFL Draft could be a big difference maker for Baltimore. One of the more lethal red zone threats in college football, Sarratt’s addition should continue to add depth to an already strong receiver group that will pit him against Rashod Bateman and other targets for reps. If he can develop chemistry with Jackson early on, their pass offense might become unstoppable when they get inside the red zone.

Can Baltimore’s Rebuilt Offensive Line Come Together Quickly?

Another one of the top storylines entering camp is how fast the Ravens’ retooled offensive line jells together. Baltimore made an array of changes to the interior of its offensive line in the offseason with the goal of adding talent and depth both at the starting level and beyond. Baltimore signed veteran guard John Simpson to a three-year deal worth $30 million, which will inject some much needed experience and stability.

They also reunited Jovaughn Gwyn with offensive line coach Dwayne Ledford, giving them another depth piece at the guard position, while Danny Pinter will serve as backup center and guard.

The biggest addition, however, came through the draft. Baltimore selected Vega Ioane with the No. 14 overall pick, adding the consensus top guard in the 2026 class. Ioane is expected to be a starter from Day 1, and a physical presence who sets the tone for an offensive line which will do battle to protect Jackson and make room for one of the best run games in the league. How fast they come together could play a role in what the offensive ceiling for Baltimore is in 2026.

Why These Top Storylines Will Define Baltimore’s Season

Every training camp brings questions, but few teams enter the summer with expectations as high as Baltimore’s. Whether it is the new coaching staff, the search for answers in the red zone, or a rebuilt offensive line finding its footing, these top storylines will shape the Ravens long before Week 1 arrives. If Baltimore answers those questions early, it will strengthen its case as a legitimate Super Bowl contender.

If not, these top storylines could become the same issues that follow the Ravens throughout the 2026 season.

Also Read: Lamar Jackson is the farthest thing from overrated, but that begs the question.
