While multiple trades have already happened between Myles Garrett, AJ Brown and Wanya Morris, expect many changes to continue to come throughout the NFL offseason. A source projects a list of trade candidates of their own, but here at Last Word On Sports, this article will break down the main five stars that will likely be in a new uniform before the 2026 campaign.

There have been too many rumors this offseason, and with teams looking to add free agents right before the season, could they explore a trade first? That’s, of course, the first route they will take. There’s also plenty of talent out there looking for a larger role or are looking to hit a huge reset in their respective careers. It’ll be interesting to see who gets moved, but enough talk; let’s explore those five key NFL starters looking to be moved.

Main Photo: Jim Dedmon-Imagn Images

NFL Trade Rumors: 5 Top Targets Entering 2026 Training Camp

5. Trey Benson, RB, Arizona Cardinals

While many have assumed that the Cardinals would be moving veteran RB James Conner during the offseason, he just took a paycut to remain with the roster. After selecting Jeremiyah Love in this year’s draft, the Cardinals are obviously moving in a new direction. The team also grabbed QB Carson Beck, so with Conner barely making his mark on this team, who’s to say that Trey Benson is truly safe? The RB3 is still signed in his current rookie deal through 2027, but he hasn’t done much to prove he could be an efficient backup.

He also missed the final 13 matchups of the 2025 season. Will anyone be interested? There’d be some hesitation, but he’d be reliable for any team looking to add depth and wanting to take a chance on a guy who is looking to change his career around.

4. Xavier Legette, WR, Carolina Panthers

This is probably one of the most obvious trade candidates on this list, but he’s still the most talked about throughout the offseason. After the Carolina Panthers took WR speedster Chris Brazzell in this year’s draft, he’s favored to take over Xavier Legette’s starting job. The Panthers extended WR2 Jalen Coker to a new deal, and with second-year Tetairoa McMillan set to replicate what he did during the 2025 season, it leaves serious doubt regarding Legette’s future.

However, Legette is still a versatile playmaker that likely needs a fresh start to fit into a different scheme, and if head coach Dave Canales sees that this upcoming training camp, he could start taking calls.

3. Rashod Bateman, WR, Baltimore Ravens

Probably one of the most underrated NFL trade candidates, Baltimore Ravens WR Rashod Bateman is coming off his worst season. After recording 224 receiving yards following a three-year extension, he hasn’t lived up to his value. Reportedly, he missed the start of mandatory minicamp after dealing with a “personal matter,” but that probably gave other receivers, including 2026 draft pick Ja’Kobi Lane, an advantage.

If Bateman doesn’t improve, and the Ravens feel comfortable sticking with DeVontez Walker and Lane as their primary pass-catchers behind Zay Flowers, don’t be surprised if the team moves on.

2. Spencer Rattler, QB, New Orleans Saints

Here’s a name that hasn’t been talked about enough. While many have pointed to Aidan O’Connell, Anthony Richardson, and even Lamar Jackson as trade candidates, the New Orleans Saints have a huge decision to make regarding Spencer Rattler. Entering the league in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, the former starter lost the QB competition against Tyler Shough this past season.

The Saints feel comfortable with Shough running the show, so expect Rattler to be moved. He’s still a reliable pocket-passer, but needs a scenery change where he has an easier path to becoming a starter elsewhere.

1. Kayshon Boutte, WR, New England Patriots – Crown Jewel

After the New England Patriots grabbed two high-caliber receivers, Romeo Doubs and AJ Brown, it leaves doubt about what the future looks like for Kayshon Boutte. While he’s more of a slot receiver, Boutte is probably the most underrated playmaker right now at this stage in his career. He can thrive anywhere he goes, and the Patriots shouldn’t let him off too easily.

They can trade Mack Hollins if space is needed, but if New England is moving Boutte instead, they should at least look for a second- and third-round pick.

<smartframe-embed class="smartframe_wp_element" customer-id="b0c95bc04383cef69c6b47df872135cf" image-id="WmOB2Q7p2UBd" style="width: 100%; display: inline-flex; max-width: 4500px; aspect-ratio: 4500/3398;" ></smartframe-embed>

As 32 teams across the league prepare and finalize their training camp dates, the latest NFL trade rumors could intensify before the 2026 season.

<smartframe-embed customer-id="b0c95bc04383cef69c6b47df872135cf" image-id="WmOBTWkQ5C6Z" style="width: 100%;max-width: 3900px;aspect-ratio: 3900/2610"></smartframe-embed>
[36,33,10,30,5,28,6431
7801,7723,7739,9646,32193,7394,7752,246,34873,7661,7505,7638,7659,8553,32160,32429
post-290514","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-nfl-news","category-cardinals","category-ravens","category-panthers","category-patriots","category-saints","category-nfl-teams","tag-arizona-cardinals-news","tag-baltimore-ravens-news","tag-carolina-panthers-news","tag-kayshon-boutte","tag-lastest-nfl-news","tag-new-england-patriots-news","tag-new-orleans-saints-news","tag-nfl-news","tag-nfl-trade-rumors","tag-panthers-featured","tag-rashod-bateman","tag-ravens-featured","tag-saints-featured","tag-spencer-rattler","tag-trey-benson","tag-xavier-legette
["GET
