He is very well-rounded as a runner with the ability to pick up yards on the ground with great speed, power, elusiveness, and vision. He is also a great mobile quarterback as both a scrambler and on designed quarterback runs. During the 2025 season, Chambliss ran for 527 yards and had eight rushing touchdowns, and he ran for over 1,000 yards and 25 rushing touchdowns at Ferris State during the 2024 season.

Chambliss is also a great out-of-structure playmaker, and he has good throw-on-the-run ability. He has impressive overall arm talent as well. Chambliss is a confident passer who throws a great deep ball, and consistently throws the ball with good velocity. He also has the ability to throw the ball well from multiple arm angles.

Chambliss takes good care of the football and does a good job at limiting turnovers with just three interceptions during the 2025 season and an overall career interception percentage of 1.2% during his college career. Chambliss was a highly productive and impactful player during the 2025 season, finishing in eighth place in Heisman voting and helping lead Ole Miss to the College Football Playoff semifinals.

Weaknesses:

Chambliss is an undersized quarterback at 6-foot-0 and 205 pounds, and he tends to have too many passes batted down at the line of scrimmage. He needs to improve his consistency when under pressure, and tends to bail from the pocket too quickly. Chambliss could also improve his ability to go through progressions, and he occasionally stares down his first read. Chambliss has just one season of experience at the FBS level right now, but he will have a chance to put together multiple seasons of great production in the SEC in the 2026 season.

Trinidad Chambliss Scouting Report Overview:

Chambliss is an undersized quarterback prospect, but he also has good arm talent and elite athleticism and mobility for the position. He is a confident passer with good accuracy, out-of-the-pocket playmaking ability, and he does a good job at limiting turnovers. However, he still needs to improve his ability to go through progressions and improve his consistency when under pressure.

Chambliss was one of the most productive quarterbacks in the country in his first season in the FBS, but it is also his only season of experience at the FBS level, so it will be important for him to have another productive season in 2026. With another season of great production and improvement reading the defense and under pressure, Chambliss has the talent to potentially be a first or second-round draft pick.

Main Photo: Petre Thomas-Imagn Images

Trinidad Chambliss scouting report.
