With that, this could put pressure on Legette, who’s already on the back burner after the team selected speedster Chris Brazzell<\/a> in this year’s draft.<\/p>\n

While the team celebrates the new contract, this ripples through the rest of the wideout room. By drafting an undrafted product, it means the team is rolling on the dice high on Coker rather than Legette. While he still has two years left on his current rookie deal and there’s still time to improve, his chances of making the long-term roster aren’t guaranteed. Yes, many should believe that now, after the Coker deal, the Panthers are preparing to trade the unsuccessful former first-round pick to a new team.<\/p>\n

Indianapolis Colts<\/h3>\n

The Colts are reportedly considering adding another wide receiver to help QB Daniel Jones. After re-signing Alec Pierce<\/a> to a new monster deal and retaining Josh Downs, the team hasn’t been able to add a true slot receiver threat. There are options in free agency, including Deebo Samuel, Stefon Diggs<\/a> and Keenan Allen, but could they make a run for Legette? He’d probably be a better receiver than Jonathan Mingo, who’s been a major bust for this organization after trading for him for a fourth-round pick.<\/p>\n

Los Angeles Rams<\/h3>\n

Similar to the Colts’ offensive situation, the Los Angeles Rams are in dire need of a slot receiver. The team ignored adding any firepower to Matthew Stafford’s offense and was too focused on trying to trade Davante Adams<\/a> for AJ Brown. What they should’ve done is trade for a low-stakes receiver that could emerge as a promising rotational wideout at least. This is where Legette could come into this conversation.<\/p>\n

The wide receiver would no doubt thrive in Sean McVay’s roster, especially with Adams planning to retire very soon.
