While some spots of the Steelers offensive line are almost guaranteed, such as center Zach Frazier, others are still potentially up for grabs in training camp and the preseason.

Training camp is a little over one month away, but here is an early prediction for the group in Mike McCarthy’s first season as the head coach.

Early Steelers Offensive Line Prediction for 2026

Predicted Starters for Steelers Offensive Line

LT: Troy Fautanu

Troy Fautanu moving back to his natural position makes the most sense for the Steelers. He spent much of his collegiate career at Washington as a left tackle, and former first-round pick Broderick Jones did not participate in any drills during OTAs and minicamp. Fautanu will very likely be the key blindside protector for Aaron Rodgers.

LG: Spencer Anderson

Spencer Anderson moves into the vacancy left by Isaac Seumalo, who left in free agency for the Arizona Cardinals. Anderson started seven games last season for the Steelers, and he finally gets his chance to become a starter. The organization has shown faith in him since he was drafted, and it’s hard to see that changing.

<smartframe-embed class="smartframe_wp_element" customer-id="b0c95bc04383cef69c6b47df872135cf" image-id="WmOBLVHNG9Gd" style="width: 100%; display: inline-flex; max-width: 5618px; aspect-ratio: 5618/3746;" ></smartframe-embed>

C: Zach Frazier

Zach Frazier is the center for the Steelers, and it’s not even a competition. Rodgers was very complimentary of Frazier last season, and the two will work together once again this season. As he continues to develop, Frazier has the opportunity to be one of the best centers in the National Football League.

RG: Mason McCormick

Mason McCormick has been a mainstay in the Steelers offensive line plans over the last two seasons. He has started 31 out of 34 games, including all 17 games last season. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, he will hold his place once again to round out the interior of the offensive line.

RT: Max Iheanachor

Some of the pre-draft reports called Max Iheanachor a project and someone who wouldn’t be ready for Week 1. However, the Steelers aren’t a team that will have their first-round pick ride the bench unless he looks extremely overwhelmed in training camp and the preseason. McCarthy and general manager Omar Khan expect Iheanachor to be a starter at right tackle against the Falcons.

Predicted Backups for Steelers Offensive Line

C: Brock Hoffman

G: Gennings Dunker

T: Dylan Cook

If by some slim chance Iheanachor isn’t ready to start, Dylan Cook will get the nod ahead of him at right tackle. Cook played left tackle for much of last season after Jones went down with his neck injury and showed everyone in the league and the organization that he can be relied on when necessary. Having him on the bench is a reassuring element for the Steelers. Rookie Gennings Dunker will get some game time for Pittsburgh, and veteran center Brock Hoffman will provide some veteran leadership on the bench.

Other Notable Members of the Steelers Offensive Line

Broderick Jones – Injured Reserve

Ryan McCollum – Practice Squad

Jack Driscoll – Practice Squad

Jones starting the season on injured reserve should surprise nobody. The only shock would be is if Jones is not placed in one of the designated to return spots for Pittsburgh, meaning he would be out for the entire season. Driscoll and McCollum would be relegated to the practice squad for McCarthy, but both players are more than capable of serving in a backup role. Having familiar faces on the practice squad who know Rodgers’ snap count is always beneficial for a contender.

Main Photo Courtesy of Charles LeClaire – Imagn Images

The biggest question for the Pittsburgh Steelers, aside from the quarterback depth chart, is how the offensive line will look in Week 1 against the Atlanta Falcons.
