A blockbuster Maxx Crosby trade is still looming over the NFL Landscape as one prominent NFL Analyst believes he could be dealt before the year is over. According to Dan Graziano of ESPN<\/a>, since the superstar edge rusher was traded before, he believes the Las Vegas Raiders could still deal him during the upcoming campaign. It makes sense after the Raiders were already moved on from Crosby when they traded him the first time to the Baltimore Ravens before the team backed out over medical concerns. Even though the Raiders are no longer open to trading the superstar, it doesn’t mean they aren’t open to it at all.<\/p>\n

After Myles Garrett<\/a> was dealt to the Los Angeles Rams, this is Crosby’s opportunity to prove himself with the Raiders that he’s still the reliable defender he once was. If he has another astronomical season during the 2026 campaign while the team struggles, there’s a chance that the Raiders will put him on the trade block. The Raiders drafted QB Fernando Mendoza<\/a> while signing veteran Kirk Cousins<\/a> to solidify their depth, but it’s still possible this team is nowhere near being a contender.<\/p>\n

A trade won’t come anytime soon, but the team moving on from the edge rusher isn’t out of the question. However, there’s also the chance that he could stick around for the entire season. The superstar turns 29-years-old and would need to prove this season that he could be the same elite edge rusher. It shouldn’t be an issue, depending on how severe the knee injury was.<\/p>\n

What could get interesting is if the Raiders are open to trading Crosby if they have another season where they lose six consecutive matchups this upcoming campaign. Postseason contenders needing a boost could be ringing the phone of Las Vegas, which could be possible for these three teams.<\/p>\n

Dallas Cowboys<\/h3>\n

The Dallas Cowboys were closing in on the edge rusher before the Ravens put in the better offer. While that saved Dallas for now, Jerry Jones isn’t closing the door on Crosby. The team, instead, traded for Rashan Gary and also acquired Dee Winters during the draft<\/a> this offseason. The Cowboys stuck with their draft picks, selecting Jaishawn Barham<\/a> and Malachi Lawrence to strengthen their pass-rushing unit.<\/p>\n

However, if this team wants to win a Super Bowl, they need to do what the Rams just did. They took a risk, and for the first time in the Jones Family, they should be willing to take a huge investment in the Raiders’ edge rusher if he’s proven that he can stay healthy.<\/p>\n

Chicago Bears<\/h3>\n

Meanwhile, the Bears were also in the mix for the superstar. Chicago lost Tremaine Edmunds to New York<\/a> while losing several key defenders in their secondary. It’s been a brutal offseason for the Bears, but they signed Devin Bush<\/a> and brought back Jack Sanborn to provide some type of relief for this unit. Still, they’re lacking veteran leadership in that defensive room.<\/p>\n

Dayo Odeyingbo and Austin Booker have dealt with inconsistencies and injuries, which means they could use a boost. Montez Sweat remains a powerful defensive tool in this unit, but he needs help. Crosby would be the perfect fit to pair with him to put the Bears in the Super Bowl.<\/p>\n

Los Angeles Chargers<\/h3>\n

When Jim Harbaugh joined the Chargers, he wanted a defense that wanted to win in the trenches. However, they lost defensive coordinator Jesse Minter to Baltimore<\/a>, so it’s on Harbaugh to finally roll the dice on a game-changer. The Chargers re-signed Khalil Mack to another one-year deal, but he’s too old and is on the verge of retirement.<\/p>\n

It doesn’t mean that Teair Tart, Tuli Tuipulotu and Daiyan Henley aren’t capable of exploding, but they need a huge push if they have aspirations to make their mark in the AFC Championship Game.
