The latest Baltimore Ravens WR Rashod Bateman trade rumors are firing up after the receiver is reportedly dealing with a personal matter, which could raise questions regarding his future. While it’s not too much to worry, Bateman is coming off his worst season as a receiver, recording just 224 receiving yards on 19 receptions. This month, he was named again as the top trade candidate<\/a> for this upcoming season, and you’d have to wonder if the Ravens are willing to entertain it. The team drafted Ja’Kobi Lane<\/a> to strengthen it’s pass-offense for Lamar Jackson, so there could be pressure there.<\/p>\n

However, new offensive coordinator Declan Doyle is confident that the wideout will be back and hasn’t missed any practice beforehand. Although it’s interesting timing for the Ravens to explore the WR2 slot for Lane and DeVontez Walker, it might be bad news for Bateman if he loses his starting spot.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s dealing with some personal things, so he hasn\u2019t been here for a little bit. He was here that first week, and we were able to work him in quite a bit. Then, he was here pretty much the whole offseason, every day,” Doyle said.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

Rashod Bateman Trade: Ravens urged to move $36M star<\/h2>\n

Despite signing his three-year extension last offseason, there’s no guarantee the receiver will have the same role. If he misses more practice, Lane and Walker could carve into his playing time, and that’s when the Ravens will decide to move forward. It doesn’t mean Baltimore will trade him anytime soon, but it’s still something to keep an eye on. Before the Dallas Cowboys acquired George Pickens, the team was interested in Bateman, which later turned into a new extension for the Ravens’ WR.<\/p>\n

The wideout is still 26 years old, and if he no longer fits into this new offense led by Doyle, he could join these three teams before 2027.<\/p>\n

Possible Next Teams<\/h2>\n

Carolina Panthers<\/h3>\n

After drafting Chris Brazzell<\/a>, the Carolina Panthers have done phenomenally well in strengthening their offense. Other than losing RB Rico Dowdle,<\/a> the pass offense for QB Bryce Young is looking to be in great shape. Not only did Tetairoa McMillan exceed expectations, but Jalen Coker has emerged as a capable WR2. Bateman probably doesn’t need a large role in his next stint, but he’d be a great fit in Carolina.<\/p>\n

Young excels as a pocket-passer when slinging the ball in play-action. The Ravens’ WR could be the latest replacement for Xavier Legette, who is likely to be traded if he doesn’t step up.<\/p>\n

Indianapolis Colts<\/h3>\n

Meanwhile, the Colts are in dire need of a WR after trading away Michael Pittman Jr., but they extended Alec Pierce<\/a> to a monster deal. Josh Downs had a solid year last season, but if this offense wants to see the same results from him, he needs another WR to help him. Bateman might be the solution for their slot route depth, and could turn into another fiery weapon for QB Daniel Jones.<\/p>\n

Los Angeles Rams<\/h3>\n

If this offseason taught anyone about what the Rams want to do this upcoming, it’s that they want to win one last Super Bowl in the Matthew Stafford era. Despite the team drafting Ty Simpson as their presumptive starter once Stafford retires, the Rams are still in the same old regime. However, WR Davante Adams is entering the final year of his contract and is likely to retire next season.<\/p>\n

The Rams explored trading him<\/a> to acquire AJ Brown<\/a>, but decided to keep the veteran. While it would’ve been an excellent addition to help Puka Nacua, they still need someone to step up in the slot.
