Signing undrafted free agents in the NFL is a tricky proposition. 2026 UDFA NFL contracts in the NFC West were over $2.6 million in guaranteed money. Once the draft is over, teams can go and sign college players who were undrafted, and the enticement of money talks. NFL teams just spent $10.6 million on players not drafted. It is worth noting that even though undrafted free agents can sign a three-year contract for just over $3 million, very little of that contract is guaranteed. In fact, many players have nothing guaranteed or paltry amounts of five to twenty thousand dollars guaranteed.<\/p>\n

Some teams, like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers,<\/a> invested a guaranteed $916,000 on just five players, while others, like the Miami Dolphins<\/a>, spent $180,000 on just two players.<\/p>\n

Edge Rusher Logan Fano<\/a> from Utah<\/a>, earned the most of all UDFA’s with a guaranteed $310,000 from the Cleveland Browns<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Cardinals opened up the bank with undrafted free agent spending. Every signee received guaranteed money. Topping the list were good bets to make this talent-depleted roster: Harrison Wallace, Mississippi<\/a> Wide Receiver, Elijah Culb of James Madison, a cornerback, and Cameron Robertson of SMU<\/a>, an outside linebacker.<\/p>\n

The Rams inked eighteen players to undrafted free agent contracts, totaling just $77,500. General Manager Les Snead was sure to scour the college ranks for promising players to add to the Rams’ depth. Best bets to make the Ram’s roster are running back Dean Connors of Houston<\/a> and at least one of the defensive tackles. Payton Zdroik of Air Force has the best chance of the bunch.<\/p>\n

Seattle signed seven undrafted free agents, all earning guaranteed money. Two players earned six figures in guaranteed money: Linebacker Aidan Hubbard of Northwestern ($267,500) and Michael Briscoe, a wide receiver from Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo($125,000)<\/p>\n
