Who will make the cut in this 2026 Tennessee Titans roster projection after a close to ideal offseason? After a frenetic offseason that featured a new head coach, multiple front office changes, and the hustle and bustle of transactions, the Titans are the same. The coaching staff will assess the work in the OTA process and determine who goes where on the depth chart entering training camp.

Note: All statistics courtesy of Pro Football Reference

2026 Tennessee Titans Roster Projection: Ideal Offseason

Offense

Quarterback (2)

Cam Ward

Mitchell Trubisky

Contenders: Will Levis and Hendon Hooker

Tennessee has traditionally carried two quarterbacks on the roster, and unless Levis can change the hearts and minds of the front office, expect more of the same. Trubisky recently signed an expensive contract to back up Ward. It appears that the Levis saga could be on the way out due to an injury to another quarterback. Former beloved Tennessee Volunteers legend Hendon Hooker signed with the franchise during the second exorbitant wave of free agency. If the Titans opt to keep only two, as they’re wont to do, it will free up a spot elsewhere. Can a third quarterback emerge to make this 2026 Tennessee Titans roster projection moot?

Running Back (4)

Tony Pollard

Tyjae Spears

Nicholas Singleton (R)

Michael Carter

Contenders: Kalel Mullings and Julius Chestnut

The top two positions on the running back depth chart are unquestioned locks to make the roster. Where it gets conceivably interesting is the race for RB3 and beyond. It will be a race that goes down to the wire between veterans and Titans newcomers alike. Singleton may have the inside track to making the roster as a potential RB4, having been drafted in the most recent draft.

Carter has ties to the new coaching staff, playing for Coach Saleh while both were with the Jets. However, Mullings and Chestnut won’t make it easy for the other two, having played for the organization longer. Could the Titans opt to carry only three running backs instead of the four in this 2026 Tennessee Titans roster projection?

Wide Receiver (6)

<smartframe-embed class="smartframe_wp_element" customer-id="a61405551f80e72f675225f083759bb9" image-id="fwuQiD6nELa9" style="width: 100%; display: inline-flex; max-width: 3500px; aspect-ratio: 3500/2333;" ></smartframe-embed>

Calvin Ridley

Wan’Dale Robinson

Carnell Tate (R)

Chimere Dike

Elic Ayomanor

K.J. Osborn

Contenders: Bryce Oliver, Mason Kinsey, Xavier Restrepo, Lance McCutcheon, Tyren Montgomery (R), Hank Beatty (R), and Courtney Jackson

The 2025 Titans receiver room was a jumbled mess of youngsters trying to find their footing and an injured Calvin Ridley. Mr. Borgonzi and company saw enough shambolic receiver play to last a lifetime and went to work in the offseason. Two new high-profile receivers entered the picture through free agency and the draft. While Calvin Ridley remains on the roster, he is subject to trade speculation due to Robinson’s contract and Tate’s selection.

Dike earned a Pro Bowl nod because of his dynamism in the return game. Perhaps a bump down the depth chart will allow both players to develop further. The Titans could conceivably carry six receivers, so the last spot will be an all-out battle between veterans and young players alike. Osborn gets the nod over unproven talents like Restrepo and Montgomery. Oliver could be a dark horse to make it, given his experience on the team. How many receivers will make it onto the 2026 Tennessee Titans roster projection?

Tight End (3)

Gunnar Helm

Daniel Bellinger

Kylen Granson

Contenders: Jaren Kanak (R), David Martin Robinson, and Joel Wilson

Tennessee elects to carry three tight ends in this 2026 Tennessee Titans roster projection to make room elsewhere. Helm is the unquestioned TE1 of the group, while Bellinger is a capable backup with experience in OC Brian Daboll’s system. The last spot could go several ways, with rookie Jaren Kanak battling veteran Granson for the honor.

Offensive Tackle (4)

Dan Moore, Jr

J.C Latham

Brendan Crenshaw-Dickson

Aamil Wagner (R)

Contenders: Austin Deculus, Ryan Hayes, and Rasheed Miller

The offensive tackle situation isn’t great for Tennessee, but it could be worse. Dan Moore, Jr., and JC Latham helm the bookends, much to the chagrin of Titans fans. Where it gets interesting is the battle for backup spots behind them. Veteran Austin Deculus could have the inside track due to experience, but expect UDFA rookies Miller and Wagner to make him earn it. Wagner gets the fourth tackle spot over the veteran in this edition of the 2026 Tennessee Titans roster projection.

Offensive Guard (4)

Peter Skoronski

Cordell Volson

Jackson Slater

Fernando Carmona

Contenders: Garrett Dellinger and Drew Moss

If the Titans’ tackle situation is dire, the guard depth behind star Peter Skoronski is at DEFCON 1 status. As it stands, former Bengal Cordell Volson is slotted in to start at right guard over a highly unproven sophomore Jackson Slater. Sixth-round rookie Carmona will have a fight on his hands to keep his spot in the 2026 Tennessee Titans roster projection over veterans like Drew Moss. Expect the Titans to kick the tires in this group after training camp cuts.

Center (2)

Austin Schlottman

Pat Coogan (R)

Contender: Trey Hill

How will the race to become Cam Ward’s center go? Will it be a veteran who has experience in Daboll’s system or the highly touted national champion rookie? Both are expected to make the roster, barring any unforeseen changes to the 2026 Tennessee Titans roster projection.

Defense

Defensive End (5)

John Franklin-Myers

Jermaine Johnson II

Keldric Faulk

Femi Oladejo

Jacob Martin

Contenders: Jaylen Harrell, Malik Herring, Truman Jones, David Ebuka Agoha*, and Earnest Brown IV

With a new coaching staff, change is inevitable. After years of running a 3-4 system, the change to a 4-man front will be jarring. If not for the cash splashed in the cornerback room, the defensive ends would be the most overhauled room on the team. JFM was brought in via free agency, and former first-round selection Jermaine Johnson II came in via the trade route. Tennessee executed a trade-up to snag former Auburn pass rusher Faulk.

It will be interesting to see who makes it in the 2026 Tennessee Titans roster projection. Martin could win the spot because of his experience with Saleh’s system compared to the others. Harrell has been a Titan for several seasons, while Herring crossed over with the GM in KC.

*Ebuka Agoha is the Titans’ designated IPP player and would not count against the practice squad limit of 16 players. He’s also exempt from the training camp roster limit of 90 athletes. He’s eligible to be called up to the active 53-man roster three times before Tennessee must sign him to the active roster, per NFL IPP rules.

Defensive Tackle (5)

Jeffery Simmons

Jordan Elliott

Solomon Thomas

Jackie Marshall

Timmy Horne

Contenders: C.J. Ravenell and Cam Horsley

All-everything Jeffery Simmons headlines the defensive tackle group that underwent a sea change during the offseason. Elliott and Thomas both have experience in Coach Saleh’s system, while Marshall is a late-round rookie who will need to prove himself over the returning Titans. The race for the last spot is the one to watch for in the 2026 Tennessee Titans roster projection.

Linebacker (5)

Cedric Gray

Cody Barton

Anthony Hill

Mohamoud Diabate

James Williams, Sr

Contenders: Dorian Mausi, Sean Brown (R), Shad Banks, Jr (R), Mani Powell (R)

There wasn’t much change in the Titans’ linebacker room, aside from the addition of potential rookie starter Anthony Hill, Jr. Diabate and Williams are excellent athletes and special-teams contributors who could play a few reps here and there. The potential for movement will be more towards the back end, if at all, in the 2026 Tennessee Titans roster projection. However, there is a trio of undrafted rookies who could push for practice-squad spots if they don’t knock off Williams for the last spot.

Cornerback (6)

Alontae Taylor

Cor’Dale Flott

Marcus Harris

Joshua Williams

Micah Robinson

Latrell McCutchin, Sr (R)

Contenders: Keydrain Calligan, Jeadyn Lukus, Erick Hallett II, and Jalen McMurray (R)

Tennessee drastically remade its cornerback room this offseason, committing well over $100 million in total value to Flott, Taylor, and Williams in free agency. The Titans’ changes were so extreme that only two holdovers exist on the roster from the 2025 season. Marcus Harris was a revelation as a rookie last year and earned starting reps as a nickel corner towards the end. The cornerback competition for the fifth and potentially sixth spot is an underrated position battle to focus on as the offseason progresses.

Williams has ties to the GM from their shared days in Kansas City. In this 2026 Tennessee Titans roster projection, rookie UDFA Latrell McCutchin hangs onto a roster spot over an uninspiring group. Mike Borgonzi could trawl the waiver wire for more CB help if the back end doesn’t develop as quickly.

Safety (4)

Kevin Winston, Jr

Amani Hooker

Tony Adams

Bishop Fitzgerald (R)

Contenders: Kendall Brooks, Jerrick Reed II, and Sanoussi Kane

Safety is another position in the back end of the depth chart battle to monitor closely. Amani Hooker, armed with a big contract, returned for the 2026 season despite his inconsistent play. Adams joins the entourage of former Saleh-era Jets to make his way to Nashville. He’s more than likely making the roster because of his experience in playing in Saleh’s system. 2026 UDFA Fitzgerald has a golden chance to carve out a roster spot over several returning veterans like Brooks and Reed. Who will become the fourth safety behind the trio in this 2026 Tennessee Titans roster projection?

Special Teams (3)

K: Joey Slye

P: Tommy Townsend

LS: Morgan Cox

The Titans’ special teams battery under renowned special teams coordinator John “Bones” Fassel changed in 2026. Former Kansas City punter Tommy Townsend comes over with ties to GM Mike Borgonzi to replace last year’s veteran, Johnny Hekker. Slye is getting up there in age, so a kicking competition could be on the horizon. Reliable old warhorse Morgan Cox returns for another turn in Nashville. Can Townsend continue the tradition of legendary Titans punters after joining the 2026 Tennessee Titans roster projection?

Offensive Total:

25

Defensive Total:

25

Main Image: DENNY SIMMONS / THE TENNESSEAN / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images

How could the Titans build out their team?
