The Saints have not figured out what to do with Kamara’s current deal, but Loomis has created a timeline on what it could look like by next month.<\/a> Kamara, a former third-round pick, has spent his entire career with the Saints, establishing himself as one of the fastest downhill runners in the league. After a down season last year, the team signed Travis Etienne<\/a> this offseason to overhaul the RB position.<\/p>\n

While Kamara was open to sharing the field with Etienne, it might not happen. The Saints could release him on June 1, as there likely won’t be any trade interest for a 31-year-old running back. Meanwhile, the team has the veteran listed as the backup, and realistically, they will need to move on. However, why waste a healthy, reliable running back like Kamara when you’re rebuilding a new offense for QB Tyler Shough<\/a>?<\/p>\n

The veteran may have said retirement if he gets released or traded, but let’s be realistic. Kamara isn’t going to retire until he’s about 36-years-old. He has something left in the tank compared to Derrick Henry. The veteran is still without a championship and could win one with these three teams.<\/p>\n

Kansas City Chiefs<\/h3>\n

The Kansas City Chiefs decided to let Kareem Hunt and Isiah Pacheco<\/a> go in free agency to overhaul their RB room. The quarterback is getting older and would appreciate another worthy talent to join the corps.<\/p>\n

Baltimore Ravens<\/h3>\n

Meanwhile, Derrick Henry hasn’t shown any signs of slowing down. However, they did let Keaton Mitchell shockingly walk<\/a> to join a new team. QB Lamar Jackson loves a fast-paced offense, and adding someone like Kamara would be a dream for this offense.
