The Netflix’ Quarterback<\/em> docuseries has been picked up for a third season, premiering on July 14th, 2026. Produced by NFL Films, Omaha Productions, and Patrick Mahomes’ production company, 2PM Productions, the highly successful docuseries will again grant viewers access inside the locker room with NFL signal-callers.<\/p>\n

The series will give fans an inside look at the pressure, preparation, and chaos that come with playing quarterback in the NFL<\/a>. Season three of the docuseries is expected to once again pull viewers directly into locker rooms, meeting rooms, and game day moments throughout the entirety of the NFL season.<\/p>\n

Netflix’s Quarterback features an intriguing cast<\/h2>\n

The quarterbacks that will be followed this season will be: Jayden Daniels, Baker Mayfield, Cam Ward, and Joe Flacco. This is an interesting group as all three different quarterback situations give the series different kinds of storylines; from the progression of Washington Commanders quarterback Daniels and his ascent as a rookie to the beginning of Ward’s NFL career under pressure, to an eventual Pro-Bowl season by long-time veteran quarterback Flacco.<\/p>\n

Compelling storylines to expect in season three<\/h3>\n

Perhaps the most interesting portion of the Netflix’ Quarterback<\/em> series this season will be Flacco. The longtime NFL quarterback started the 2025-26 season with the Cleveland Browns<\/a>, but later in the season, was picked up by the Cincinnati Bengals<\/a>. Despite starting the season a bit late in his career and being a veteran backup option, he ended up having an actual Pro-Bowl season, completing 1,664 passing yards, throwing for 13 touchdowns in only nine games played with the Bengals.<\/p>\n

Arguably, the most fascinating young narrative this season on Netflix’s’ Quarterback<\/em> will be the journey of Daniels. Since erupting onto the scene in 2025 as one of the best young quarterbacks in the NFL, expectations will be astronomical for both Daniels and the Washington Commanders franchise<\/a> moving into 2026. Washington did whatever it could to build around their young franchise quarterback during the offseason, so this show could be compelling to watch and see how Daniels copes with the pressure as he has gone from being a surprise breakout candidate to one of the faces of the league for the foreseeable future.<\/p>\n

The first season, which focused on Patrick Mahomes<\/a>, Kirk Cousins, and Marcus Mariota, allegedly had 3.3 million viewers<\/a> during its debut weeks, garnering 21.4 million minutes of viewership over the first few weeks as well. It quickly became a show on Netflix; most-watched original list, and was largely considered a huge success for the streaming giant and the NFL as well.<\/p>\n

The popularity of the Quarterback<\/em> series also makes it stand out among Netflix’s other football-based content. While Receiver<\/em>, which spawned from the Quarterback<\/em> series, was a pretty interesting show to see released, the Quarterback<\/em> series still dominated it in total views, proving that the quarterback position still garners a huge following.<\/p>\n

Netflix’s Quarterback<\/em> has been a huge hit since its release. What will be so intriguing about the third installment is that they are bringing together another compelling group of quarterbacks composed of veteran presence, emerging stars, and rookie storylines as they approach the 2026 NFL season.<\/p>\n
