It’s pretty much a lock that the Patriots will acquire AJ Brown in a trade, but other reports believe nothing is guaranteed until it happens. It allows several teams in the league to perhaps make a bigger offer than the Patriots. Unless New England is open to trading Kayshon Boutte, it could become difficult for the final trade confirmation.

According to a source, Brown could be heading elsewhere if the Patriots’ deal falls apart. A great example of that has been the latest deal between the Ravens and the Raiders regarding Maxx Crosby. However, it’s not like Brown is coming from any injury, but things can always change. You have to say “never say never” in the NFL, and if Brown wants to test the trade market first next month, he could do that.

As of this posting, there isn’t any binding between the Patriots and Eagles. What this means is that if a team wants to swoop in and take Brown from the Eagles before the Patriots, it could happen that way.

Main Photo: Eric Hartline-Imagn Images

4 Teams Who Could Fight for Top Trade Candidate AJ Brown From Patriots

Major Moves in New England

The Patriots have already signed Romeo Doubs in free agency. They could bring back Stefon Diggs for another year if it doesn’t work out for Brown. New England still has Mack Hollins and Boutte in the slot, so if the Patriots would rather sign a veteran at that, it might be wiser for them. Here are four teams that could trade for AJ Brown if it’s not the Patriots.

Possible Next Teams

Carolina Panthers

AJ Brown landing with the Carolina Panthers would be the dark-horse scenario. The team re-signed Jalen Coker while drafting a high-potential receiver in this year’s draft, Chris Brazzell. Tetairoa McMillan and Coker are two legitimate weapons for QB Bryce Young, but they need an established veteran. This is why Brown makes sense.

He’s a Super Bowl winner who can get the Panthers in the NFC Championship Game, and this would allow them to move on from Xavier Legette.

Los Angeles Chargers

Meanwhile, the Chargers’ pursuit of a new receiver this offseason has been disappointing. Keenan Allen is still a free agent, but the team selected Brenen Thompson in the draft. They’re going to need more than Ladd McConkey and Quentin Johnston this year. If the Chargers want to move past the wild-card round, the front office staff must swallow their pride to make a massive deal to get AJ Brown.

Los Angeles Rams

After the Rams decided to explore a trade involving Davante Adams, the team needs another receiver. Puka Nacua is the future of this pass offense, especially after QB Matthew Stafford retires. Whether it’s Ty Simpson or another quarterback, they need another playmaker to help Nacua. Adams could be on the brink of retirement after 2026, and AJ Brown might be the new replacement.

Baltimore Ravens

After drafting Ja’Kobi Lane this offseason, the Baltimore Ravens may no longer need a veteran. The Ravens have gone through Diontae Johnson, Odell Beckham Jr. and Nelson Agholor for the past few years. However, it’d be beneficial to get a lengthy receiver like AJ Brown to help Zay Flowers.

This would allow Rashod Bateman and Lane to focus on the slot routes to help Jackson in the pocket. It’d help a lot if Brown and Flowers could become the new duo for this offense, especially if Jackson wants to throw it deep as well.

The Philadelphia Eagles are 100% going to trade WR AJ Brown this offseason, but the Patriots might not be the only team chasing him.

<smartframe-embed customer-id="b0c95bc04383cef69c6b47df872135cf" image-id="WmOBVtfwJWhj" style="width: 100%;max-width: 5255px;aspect-ratio: 5255/4024"></smartframe-embed>
[36,10,30,18,34,6431,21
9415,7723,7739,7642,32330,32193,7429,7473,246,7661,7393,9950,7638,33031,9722
post-282805","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-nfl-news","category-ravens","category-panthers","category-chargers","category-rams","category-nfl-teams","category-eagles","tag-aj-brown","tag-baltimore-ravens-news","tag-carolina-panthers-news","tag-chargers-featured","tag-ladd-mcconkey","tag-lastest-nfl-news","tag-los-angeles-chargers-news","tag-los-angeles-rams-news","tag-nfl-news","tag-panthers-featured","tag-philadelphia-eagles-news","tag-puka-nacua","tag-ravens-featured","tag-tetairoa-mcmillan","tag-zay-flowers
["GET
