Here are five Chiefs UDFAs who could make the team’s 53-man roster.

Kansas City Chiefs UDFAs Who Could Make An Impact On The Team In 2026

WR Jeff Caldwell, Cincinnati

Caldwell is a wide receiver who has elite athletic ability and arguably the highest ceiling of any undrafted free agent receiver in the 2026 draft class. He was a star at the NFL Combine, measuring in at 6-foot-5 and 216 pounds. He also ran the fourth fastest 40-yard dash time for the position at 4.31 seconds. Caldwell had a 42-inch vertical jump and an 11-feet-2-inch broad jump as well. He recorded a perfect 10.00 relative athletic score and a 99 Next Gen Stats athleticism score to rank No. 1 among wide receiver prospects at the combine.

Caldwell has a ton of upside, but he is still developing as a route runner and had just one year of experience at the FBS level in college. He also needs to limit drops and can also struggle against physical coverage, but with his overall athletic ability, speed, catch radius, and ability to create separation vertically downfield, Caldwell has a chance to develop into a highly productive receiver in the NFL.

Jeff Caldwell Scouting Report

S Xavier Nwankpa, Iowa

Nwankpa is a high-energy player with good size for the position and great competitive toughness. He is a very willing run defender and a smart football player as well, who does a good job at reading the quarterback’s eyes in coverage. Nwankpa doesn’t have great ball skills, and he lacks elite movement skills. He also needs to limit missed tackles at the next level, but with his skill set and experience on special teams, Nwankpa has the ability to make the team as a strong special teams contributor, and he has a chance to become a solid safety as well.

Xavier Nwankpa Scouting Report

Iowa’s Xavier Nwankpa (1) tackles Wisconsin’s Tucker Ashcraft (38) Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024 at Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City, Iowa.

Edge Vincent Anthony Jr., Duke

Anthony is a pass rusher with great height and length for the position, ranking in the 93rd percentile in height and 76th percentile in arm length for the position, according to Mockdraftable. He is an experienced player who started 41 games throughout his college career and had good production in 2025 with 7.5 sacks and 13.0 tackles for loss. Anthony lacks great play strength and run defense ability, but he has a solid floor as a pass rusher and is a high-motor player with some special teams experience.

TE John Michael Gyllenborg, Wyoming

Gyllenborg has good athletic upside. He recorded a 9.78 relative athletic score with an elite 4.60 40-yard dash time, 35.50-inch vertical jump, and a 4.22 shuttle time. Gyllenborg has tremendous speed and movement skills, and he has the ability to create separation against both man coverage and zone coverage. He is not a great in-line blocker, and he struggles against physical coverage. Gyllenborg also struggled greatly with drops at Wyoming, but with special teams experience and great athletic upside, Gyllenborg has a chance to make the team’s final 53-man roster.

S DeShon Singleton, Nebraska

At 6-foot-3 with a nearly 33-inch arm length, Singleton ranks in the 94th percentile in height for the position and in the 88th percentile in arm length, according to Mockdraftable. He lacks great hip fluidity and movement skills, but at his size, he has the ability to match up well with bigger receivers in coverage. Singleton is also a good run defender who plays with a high motor.

Main Photo: Jerome Miron-Imagn Images

5 Kansas City Chiefs UDFAs who could make the 53-man roster, and have the skill set to potentially make an impact on the team in the 2026 season.

[1647,16
33533,34448,122,34640,32963
post-281870","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-nfl-draft","category-chiefs","tag-2026-nfl-draft","tag-jeff-caldwell","tag-kansas-city-chiefs","tag-vincent-anthony-jr","tag-xavier-nwankpa
["GET
