Von Miller is one of the greatest pass rushers of his generation, and the one-time Bills edge defender is reportedly eyeing a reunion with his former team. Selected with the second-overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft<\/a>, Miller quickly became one of the league’s most dominant forces. To date, the Texas A&M product has made eight Pro Bowls, earned First-Team All-Pro honors on three separate occasions, won two Super Bowls, and even earned Super Bowl MVP honors when the Denver Broncos defeated the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50.<\/p>\n

Miller’s best days may be behind him, but he proved he can still be a solid player despite his advanced age. Following his Bills release, Miller signed a one-year deal with the Washington Commanders and finished the season with nine sacks, 26 tackles, six tackles-for-loss, and 15 quarterback hits. While he has yet to find a home for the upcoming season, the 14-year veteran recently spoke<\/a> about a potential reunion with the Buffalo Bills.<\/p>\n

“Man, I would love to go back to the Buffalo Bills,” Miller said.<\/p>\n

Von Miller’s first stint with the Bills came on the heels of a dominant 2021 season with the Los Angeles Rams. Helping the team win the Super Bowl, Buffalo signed him to a massive six-year, $120 million deal. While not all of that money was guaranteed, it still proved to be an overpay for a player who was starting to show his age. Buffalo released Miller after three seasons, but there’s reason the two sides couldn’t reunite on a cheaper contract.<\/p>\n

At this stage in his career, Von Miller is more of a situational pass rusher, and the Bills could use someone like that. The team has been one of the best in the regular season over the past half-decade, but they have yet to reach the Super Bowl. Buffalo will remain a contender as long as Josh Allen is under center, but the recent emergence of Patriots quarterback Drake Maye<\/a> means winning the AFC East won’t be easy for the foreseeable future.<\/p>\n

Assuming Von Miller is willing to pay on a much, much cheaper contract, this reunion seems too good not to happen. The future Hall of Famer recorded nine sacks in a situational role last year, which shows he can still be effective on a limited snap count.
