He had between 167 and 220 carries in all four seasons. He rushed for over 1100 rushing yards in each of his final two seasons. Allen was in a committee with Nicholas Singleton, and he took over the starting job in their senior year, rushing for 15 touchdowns. He has some value in the passing game, catching between 14 and 20 receptions in all four seasons. Even though he was the better running back for the Nittany Lions in 2025, Singleton was taken just a few picks ahead of him at the end of the 5th round.

Kaytron Allen was 1 of 2 RB’s in the entire 2026 Class to record:

– 1,300+ Rushing Yards
– 15+ Rushing TD’s
– 6.0+ YPC

The only other RB to accomplish this?

Jeremiyah Love..

I would argue that Kaytron Allen also has such a clear path to becoming the Washington Commanders RB1 pic.twitter.com/f1sSoVh83J

— Austin Abbott (@AustinAbbott) April 28, 2026

Washington Commanders Landing Spot

The Commanders have a very crowded backfield with Jacory Croskey-Merritt, Jeremy McNicholas, Rachaad White, Jerome Ford, and Allen. Chris Rodriguez left in free agency for the Jaguars, but Washington now has five running backs to compete for playing time. Of course, dynasty and fantasy football managers remember all the hype around “Bill” Croskey-Merritt last season, but he did not live up to all that hype. McNicholas and White are more passing-catching backs, while Ford is an early-down back. None of these five guys has a clear path to starting for Washington, as none has proven they are good enough to be the workhorse RB1 for a team. Expect this crowded backfield to be a confusing committee in 2026, just like it was in 2025.

Rachaad White vs. Bill Croskey-Merritt vs. Jeremy McNichols vs. Jerome Ford vs. Kaytron Allen pic.twitter.com/WDqjhy68tH

— Ian Hartitz (@Ihartitz) April 27, 2026

Allen Dynasty Price

According to KeepTradeCut, a website that crowdsources dynasty values from players who use the site, Allen is the RB64. Before the NFL Draft, Allen was the RB76, so dynasty managers are liking his landing spot. He is ranked behind Jaylen Wright, Aaron Jones, and Emmett Johnson, while ranked ahead of Trevor Etienne, Devin Neal, and Emanuel Wilson. It is difficult to see a pass for any of these other running backs to be the starter (other than Jones), while Allen has the highest upside among any of these guys.
