Miller attended Tyler Legacy High School in Tyler, Texas, where he was a four-star recruit<\/a> and the No. 4-ranked running back in the recruiting class of 2022, according to 247Sports. Miller committed to Alabama and played in 13 games as a freshman. He played in 14 games during his sophomore season before becoming the team\u2019s primary running back in his junior season. Miller had a career high in both rushing yards and rushing touchdowns during the 2024 season. He finished third on the team in total touchdowns scored and total yards from scrimmage. During the 2025 season, Miller was Alabama\u2019s primary running back and led the team in rushing with 504 rushing yards.<\/span><\/p>\n

Strengths:<\/h3>\n

Miller is a strong running back with a good build for the position. He is a physical and powerful runner who is an effective short-yardage running back. Miller runs extremely hard, and he does not shy away from contact. He has good contact balance and consistently fights for extra yards. Miller has good leg drive, the strength to run through arm tackles, and consistently falls forward for extra yards. Miller also has elite ball security and had just one fumble during the 2025 season, and recorded just two fumbles throughout his entire college career. He has good experience on special teams as well and was a very impactful special teams contributor at Alabama.<\/span><\/p>\n

Weaknesses:<\/h3>\n

Miller has average overall athletic ability. He has solid speed, but lacks great change-of-direction ability and lateral quickness. Miller was not a big-play threat during the 2025 season, and he had just four games with at least one 10-plus yard run, and he never had a run for 25 or more yards in the entire season. He is not an overly elusive runner and lacks the ability to consistently make defenders miss in the open field. In the passing game, Miller needs to limit drops as a receiver and needs to improve his consistency in pass protection. <\/span>Miller has the play strength to be a good pass protector, but he needs to improve his technique and consistency in pass protection. His production dropped in the 2025 season, and he ran for 3.9 yards per carry during the season.<\/span><\/p>\n

However, he is not a huge big-play threat, and he is not a running back who is able to consistently make defenders miss in open space. Miller also needs to improve in the passing game as both a receiver and a blocker. He has the skill set to potentially be an impactful special teams player at the next level, and with his power, contact balance, and ball security, Miller has the upside to potentially be a quality power back in a running back committee in the NFL.<\/span><\/p>\n
