How&#8217;d they do? Atlanta didn&#8217;t have a first-round pick after <a  href=\"https:\/\/www.nfl.com\/videos\/falcons-select-james-pearce-jr-with-no-26-pick-in-2025-draft\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">trading<\/a> it to the Los Angeles Rams last year to select edge rusher <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/2026\/02\/08\/james-pearce-high-school-teammates-prophetic-comments-surface-after-arrest\/\" target=\"_self\">James Pearce Jr.<\/a> The Falcons had six picks in the 2026 NFL Draft, and here are grades for each of those selections.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Atlanta Falcons 2026 NFL Draft Grades<\/h2>\n<p class=\"\" style=\"max-width: px\"><smartframe-embed class=\"smartframe_wp_element\" customer-id=\"b0c95bc04383cef69c6b47df872135cf\" image-id=\"WmOB0HR1fHBa\" style=\"width: 100%; display: inline-flex; max-width: 5568px; aspect-ratio: 5568\/3712;\" ><\/smartframe-embed><\/p>\n<h3 id=\"1-17-cb-christian-gonzalez\">Round 2, No. 48: Clemson CB Avieon Terrell<\/h3>\n<p>The Falcons began their draft by <a  href=\"https:\/\/www.foxsports.com\/articles\/nfl\/falcons-draft-clemsons-avieon-terrell-with-first-pick-of-nfl-draft-to-join-brother-aj-terrell\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">selecting<\/a> Clemson cornerback Avieon Terrell in the second round. He\u2019ll join his brother A.J. in Atlanta, whom the team drafted back in 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Terrell recorded 48 tackles and three sacks with Clemson last season. As a result, he was named First-Team All-ACC.<\/p>\n<p>Terrell, who led the Tigers in passes defended as both a sophomore and junior, is able to play outside or inside, and will bring physicality to the Falcons\u2019 secondary.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Grade: A<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/2026\/02\/25\/avieon-terrell-2026-nfl-draft-profile\/\" target=\"_self\">Avieon Terrell NFL Draft Profile<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>Round 3, No. 79: Georgia WR Zachariah Branch<\/h3>\n<p>After going defense with its first pick, Atlanta went the offensive route in Round 3, taking Georgia wide receiver Zachariah Branch.<\/p>\n<p>Branch doesn&#8217;t have the perfect size (5\u20198\u201d and 177 lbs). But he <span>did run <\/span><span>a 4.35 40 time and bench 225 pounds 20 times at the combine.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The Falcons needed a talented wide receiver who can take pressure off WR1 Drake London. And that&#8217;s exactly what they got in Branch. He caught 81 passes for 811 yards and six touchdowns last season with Georgia.<\/p>\n<p>Branch will serve as an offensive weapon for whoever the <span>Falcons\u2019 quarterback is next season: Tua Tagovailoa or Michael Penix Jr.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Grade: A-<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/2026\/04\/07\/2026-nfl-draft-scouting-report-zachariah-branch\/\" target=\"_self\"><em>Zachariah Branch NFL Draft Profile<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3 id=\"1-17-cb-christian-gonzalez\">Round 4, No. 134: Oklahoma LB Kendal Daniels<\/h3>\n<p class=\"_1jeon7i1 _1jeon7i0 _1jeon7i6 ls9zuha ls9zuh9\">Atlanta traded back, sending a fourth-round pick (122 overall) to the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/raiders\/\" target=\"_self\">Las Vegas Raiders<\/a> for a fourth rounder (No. 134) and a sixth-round pick (No. 208).<\/p>\n<p id=\"1-17-cb-christian-gonzalez\">The Falcons then selected linebacker Kendal Daniels in the fourth round. With\u00a0<span>Kaden Elliss leaving in free agency, Daniels will have a chance to compete for a starting spot and play alongside Divine Deablo.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Grade: C-<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>Round 6, No. 208: <span>Washington DT Anterio Thompson<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span>Anterio Thompson was the third defensive player selected by the the Falcons in the 2026 draft. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The defensive tackle out of Washington possesses a wingspan over 80 inches and ran the 40-yard dash\u00a0<\/span><span>in 4.73 seconds at his pro day.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Grade: C<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3 id=\"1-17-cb-christian-gonzalez\">Round 6, No. 215: LSU LB Harold Perkins Jr.<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Linebacker Harold Perkins Jr. <span>was one of seven LSU Tigers that was selected in this year\u2019s draft. <\/span>During his four year-career at LSU, Harold Perkins recorded 220 <\/span>220 tackles (35.5 for loss, 17 sacks, eight forced fumbles, and five interceptions.<\/p>\n<div class=\"article__section article__section_type_text utility__text\" data-_get-element-size=\"{&quot;w&quot;:360,&quot;h&quot;:132}\">\n<p data-_get-element-size=\"{&quot;w&quot;:360,&quot;h&quot;:132}\">The New Orleans native is extremely athletic as ran he a <span>a 4.38 40 yard dash at his LSU Pro Day.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>Grade: B<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/2026\/03\/09\/harold-perkins-jr-draft-profile\/\" target=\"_self\"><em>Harold Perkins NFL Draft Profile<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n<h3 id=\"1-17-cb-christian-gonzalez\">Round 7, No. 231: Ohio State OL, Ethan Onianwa<\/h3>\n<p>Ethan Onianwa was Atlanta\u2019s sixth and final selection in the draft.
