The San Francisco 49ers and Buffalo Bills could open up the trade conversations in this year’s NFL Draft involving WR Keon Coleman. Alex Kay of Bleacher Report predicts <\/a>the 49ers should be calling for Coleman in a possible trade, following the latest comments this offseason from Bills’ owner Terry Pagula. With Sean McDermott gone and DJ Moore stepping in,<\/a> there really isn’t room for Coleman to grow in Josh Allen’s offense. The team is rebuilding a new philosophy under Joe Brady, which allows him to trade Coleman if there isn’t any realistic path for the receiver.<\/p>\n

The former second-round pick is a low-risk, high-reward player who is coming off consistency and injury issues. Coleman just needs a new scenery in a system, and it’s easily understandable why it might work in Kyle Shanahan’s world. Despite signing Mike Evans<\/a> and Christian Kirk this offseason, the team is building a roster that wants to add a Super Bowl.<\/p>\n

However, no one should expect Evans and Kirk to be long-term fits. With that said, Coleman and Ricky Pearsall would technically be the future for Brock Purdy if that’s the path Shanahan is envisioning. The 49ers will be looking to deal Brandon Aiyuk sooner rather than later, and they’re not planning on bringing back Jauan Jennings.<\/p>\n

49ers, Bills Connected in NFL Draft Blockbuster Keon Coleman Trade<\/h2>\n

San Francisco already has the offense for Purdy to finally win a Super Bowl. Despite their failures, it feels like the unique veteran duo of Evans and Kirk helps Purdy in a way to feel comfortable hauling in the big moments. For the Bills, the team will try to trade Coleman either way. Here are three other teams that could be ringing the Bills’ phone this week.<\/p>\n

Other Potential Suitors<\/h2>\n

Dallas Cowboys<\/h3>\n

This might be the best time for the Dallas Cowboys to spend their extra third-round pick. Dallas trading Osa Odighizuwa<\/a> for a third-rounder was a bit of a head scratcher, but it might not matter if they get Coleman. Despite not yet agreeing to a long-term deal with George Pickens, the Cowboys could get creative and add a somewhat reliable slot receiver. Pickens isn’t going anywhere as long as the team figures out a contract extension, but it wouldn’t hurt to add Coleman.<\/p>\n

Dak Prescott needs to win the Super Bowl before he gets older, and the time is now. The thought of CeeDee Lamb,<\/a> Pickens and Coleman sounds like a superteam that Dallas needs to finally appear in the NFC Championship Game.<\/p>\n

Carolina Panthers<\/h3>\n

Meanwhile, the Carolina Panthers could easily pull this trade off in a possible scenario. The team could swap Xavier Legette for Coleman and a low-stakes draft pick. The Panthers have two top receivers in Jalen Coker and Tetairoa McMillan<\/a>, but Legette hasn’t shown he fits into what the team’s offense is building. Legette and Coleman would both get a fresh start with two teams that will likely be in the playoffs anyway.<\/p>\n

Los Angeles Rams<\/h3>\n

Similar to Shanahan’s mind, the Los Angeles Rams have head coach Sean McVay. The team explored trading Davante Adams<\/a> this offseason, but decided against it. Still, they could add a receiver behind Adams since he’s entering which could be the final year of his career this upcoming season.
