One position the Rams want to strengthen is wide receiver. Makai Lemon is their first option at the position, but if they don’t select him, they will likely select a wide receiver with their next pick.

If the Rams don’t draft Lemon, a solid receiver to draft is Chris Brazzell II. Brazzell is a 6-foot-4, 198-pound receiver out of Tennessee. A breakout star for the Volunteers this year, Brazzell exhibited a knack for catching the deep ball. He has a case as one of the best receivers in college football this season. Brazzell has excellent body control, contorting his body to find the ball once it’s in the air.

Tennessee wide receiver Chris Brazzell II (17) catches the ball in the end zone during a NCAA football game between Tennessee and Georgia at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville, Tennessee, on September 13, 2025.

His talents would complement an offense centered around Puka Nacua and help Stafford incorporate more deep passes. He is lightweight, but his height and speed make him effective in separating from the defender during deep routes. He won’t be a great route runner, but with Nacua, that won’t be a problem. He has been compared to Christian Watson of the Green Bay Packers because of his deep-ball talents.

If the Rams select Lemon, another option is Derrick Moore. Moore is a four-year pass rusher from the University of Michigan. He is a terrific player to help strengthen the Rams pass rush. He stands at 6-foot-4, 255 pounds and has a strength in pushing through defenders. He is a relentless rusher and can get to the quarterback in an instant. Very fast and fluid off the edge, he can end the play in mere seconds. He is a phenomenal choice if the Rams want a speed rusher off the edge who can put the quarterback on the ground quickly.

Late Third Round Pick

Third-round picks are usually players who are impactful and have experience. A good option for the Rams would be selecting a veteran college cornerback. Julian Neal is a good option to be selected in the late third round. Neal is a veteran who played five seasons at Fresno State and Arkansas. In his last two seasons, he had 54 tackles and four interceptions.

At 6-foot-2, 203 pounds, he is what the Rams need at corner. Plagued with a lack of size in the cornerback room last year, the Rams already acquired two cornerbacks in free agency. Neal adds size to the unit and can be a capable player deep in the depth chart. He’s also quick with a sub-4.5 40-yard dash and excels in run defense. Neal is effective in defending longer passes because of his height and length, but he can also lock down in short and medium routes if needed. Neal is an outstanding late third-round selection and could become a productive player for Los Angeles.

Main Photo: [Jayne Kamin-Oncea] – Imagn Images

The Rams have a chance to get better through the draft.
