He committed to Georgia and played in 13 games in his freshman season for an undefeated National Champion Georgia team. In the 2023 season, he played in 14 games with 10 starts. He recorded a career high in receiving yards, and helped Georgia to a 13-1 season and an Orange Bowl victory. In 2024, Delp appeared in 14 games during the season, and helped Georgia reach the College Football Playoff. He started all 14 games during the 2025 season and was the team’s top receiving tight end.

Strengths:

Delp has great athletic ability. He ran a sub-4.50 40-yard dash time at his pro day and recorded a 38-inch vertical jump to finish with a 9.83 relative athletic score. Delp is a good receiver with the ball in his hands after the catch. He has tremendous acceleration and speed with the ability to run past defenders. He also has good movement skills and can make defenders miss in open space. Delp made a big impact as a blocking tight end at Georgia, and he shows incredible physicality and competitive toughness as a blocker. Delp plays with good technique and pad level as a blocker, and also has solid play strength, and is able to sustain blocks and move people in the run game. He is a versatile tight end who has good experience both in-line and in the slot.

Weaknesses:

One of the main concerns for Delp is his lack of production throughout his college career. Delp never recorded 300 or more receiving yards in a single season, and he finished the 2025 season with just one touchdown. His production remained about the same each of his last three seasons at Georgia. Delp has a lean frame, and he also lacks ideal arm length for the position, with less than 32-inch arm length, ranking in the 10th percentile for the position, according to Mockdraftable. He also lunges at times as a blocker. As a receiver, Delp can struggle to catch the ball through contact, and is not currently a consistently reliable contested catch receiver. He can struggle with physical coverage at times as well.

Potential Team Fits:

Carolina Panthers

Miami Dolphins

Philadelphia Eagles

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

NFL Projection:

Delp is a versatile tight end who shows a ton of potential as both a blocker and a receiver, but he never had great production at the college level. Delp needs to improve his ability to catch the ball through contact and deal with physical coverage as a receiver, and will likely need to continue improving his overall play strength as well, but he has the potential to be an impactful player in the NFL. He has incredible athletic ability with great acceleration, speed, and overall movement skills, and is also a strong blocking tight end. Delp has the skill set to be a solid contributor early in his career, and has the potential to develop into a highly productive tight end at the next level.

Prospect Grade:

Early Third Round

Main Photo: Brett Davis-Imagn Images

Oscar Delp scouting report.
