Le’Veon Moss may not check all the boxes for a prototype 3-down rusher as a pro, but there is a situational upside to his game. Despite a history of injuries that have limited his workload at times, it will be interesting to see just what kind of draft value the NFL is going to place on Moss.

Measurables

Height: 5’11″
Weight: 203 pounds
Arms: 31″
Hands: 9.5″
School: Texas A&M
Position: Running Back

Le’Veon Moss NFL Draft Overview

Moss was a consensus four-star recruit out of Louisiana. He committed to Texas A&M in 2022 and appeared in seven games with 27 carries for 114 yards. His sophomore season in 2023 brought a larger workload with Moss leading the Aggies in rushing yards per game. Moss finished with 484 yards and five touchdowns on 96 carries in nine games before a hamstring injury. His breakout came as a junior in 2024, when he rushed for 765 yards and 10 touchdowns on just 121 carries (6.3 yards per carry), before a torn ACL/MCL against South Carolina ended his year early. Back for his senior season in 2025, Moss posted 397 yards and six touchdowns in seven games before an ankle injury limited him further. Moss finished his college career with 321 carries for 1,767 yards and 22 rushing touchdowns, adding 24 receptions for 236 yards.

Strengths

Hits the cut decisively off one step

Gets ahead early in the rep by coming off the handoff with explosion

Solid contact balance to generate yards after contact

Keeps his temp when changing lanes or direction

Willing pass protector

High-motor runner with churning feet

Weaknesses

Durability issues cannot be overlooked

Extremely limited as a receiver

Does not possess game-changing athletic ability

Projection: Day 3
Best Fits: Minnesota Vikings, Detroit Lions, Seattle Seahawks, Indianapolis Colts, Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Chargers

<smartframe-embed class="smartframe_wp_element" customer-id="b0c95bc04383cef69c6b47df872135cf" image-id="WmOBFdHXwd33" style="width: 100%; display: inline-flex; max-width: 3200px; aspect-ratio: 3200/2128;" ></smartframe-embed>

Bottom Line on Le’Veon Moss

With a compact, powerful frame and a physical style that works well with his contact balance, the tools are present for Moss to make an immediate impact in situational football on Sundays. There is sneaky potential here as a committee or rotational back who can handle early-down and goal-line work. Similar to someone like Keith Woodside of Texas A&M, there are roles for a back like Moss to fill at the professional level. The injury history will be a concern that drives Moss down some boards, but there is an upside here to be utilized in the right system.

Specialist running backs can be game changers. If Moss can get drafted by a team looking to utilize him in that manner, his chances for sticking on a roster will increase exponentially.

The 2026 NFL Draft has some talent down the board when it comes to the running back position.
