Washington running back Jonah Coleman<\/a> had a visit with the Denver Broncos on Monday. The Broncos already have three solid running backs, but it seems like they are open to drafting perhaps another running back, as the team\u2019s run game wasn\u2019t as efficient when J.K. Dobbins<\/a> went down with a season-ending injury last season. Here\u2019s more information on a running back who Denver could decide to take in a later round.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Washington RB Jonah Coleman Visits Broncos<\/h2>\n

Lincoln High School (Stockton, California) \u2014 Class of 2022<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Coleman is from Stockton, California, where he attended Lincoln High School and carried the ball 334 times for 3,319 yards and 58 touchdowns over the span of four seasons. Coleman also caught 55 career receptions for 799 yards and 10 receiving touchdowns.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The 5-foot-9, 228-pound running back was rated a three-star recruit according to 247sports<\/a>, and as a sophomore had a career-high season with 143 rushing attempts for 1,587 yards and 30 touchdowns, while also running the ball 96 times for 867 yards and 13 touchdowns in his senior season.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Arizona (2022-2023)<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Tucson, Arizona, is where Coleman decided to continue his football career after committing to play football for the Wildcats. As a freshman, Coleman saw action in every game, made two starts, and ran 75 times for 372 yards and four rushing touchdowns.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As a sophomore, Coleman started in all games and had 128 rushing attempts for a career-high 871 yards and five rushing touchdowns. Coleman\u2019s most notable game came against Colorado on Nov. 11, 2023, after he had 11 rushing attempts for 179 yards.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

During his tenure with Arizona, Coleman also earned All-Pac 12 Honorable Mention honors following the 2023 season.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Washington (2024-2025)<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

In 2024, Coleman decided to transfer to Washington after enrolling in time to participate in spring football. In his first season with the Huskies, Coleman started in 11 games. He was the team\u2019s leading rusher with 1,053 yards and 10 rushing touchdowns while also catching 23 passes for 127 yards.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Coleman became the 15th different player in Washington history to rush for 1,000 yards in a season, was the first running back for the Huskies since Ron Rowland<\/a> to rush for more than 100 yards in a debut, and also earned the offensive most valuable player award at the team\u2019s postseason banquet.<\/p>\n

The final season at Washington wasn\u2019t as explosive for Coleman. However, he still led the team with 156 carries for 758 yards and 15 rushing touchdowns while also hauling in two receiving touchdowns.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Other honors Coleman earned in his time at Washington include third-team All-Big Ten in 2024, honorable mention All-Big Ten twice, and Big Ten All-Academic team in 2025.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Denver\u2019s other running backs currently on their roster besides Dobbins include RJ Harvey<\/a>, Jaleel McLaughlin<\/a>, Tyler Badie<\/a>, and Cody Schrader<\/a>. Coleman may be the running back Denver is looking for, as he\u2019s shown efficiency in scoring touchdowns. At the same time, he could have a chance to compete for the No. 2 or 3 spot on the depth chart if selected by the Broncos.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
