While he only recorded half a sack, he had an interception and four passes deflected. They have the draft capital and are in much need of a pass rusher. Pairing the All-Pro nose tackle with a defensive end like<a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/2023\/12\/16\/montez-sweat-effect-chicago-bears-defensive-resurgence\/\" target=\"_self\"> Montez Sweat<\/a> can give the Bears a competitive edge on the defensive side of the football.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4>Buffalo Bills<\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Although it is on the unlikely side, the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/bills\/\" target=\"_self\">Buffalo Bills<\/a> are another team looking to build on defense. Quarterbacks would be in fear just trying to move out of the pocket. This will create massive athleticism and speed to an already powerful unit.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4>Las Vegas Raiders<\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <a  href=\"https:\/\/www.raiders.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Las Vegas Raiders<\/a> would be another interesting team that Lawrence could look at. Not only are they building something special by potentially drafting Indiana\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/2026\/01\/14\/fernando-mendoza-2026-nfl-draft-profile\/\" target=\"_self\">Fernando Mendoza<\/a>, but they are also looking to give assistance to pass rusher <a  href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/nfl\/player\/_\/id\/3916655\/maxx-crosby\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Maxx Crosby<\/a>. This could generate a pass rush that has been lacking for many years.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4>Los Angeles Chargers<\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/nfl\/category\/nfl-teams\/chargers\/\" target=\"_self\">Los Angeles Chargers<\/a> are a dark horse to possibly land the All-Pro. Along with their 22nd overall selection in the 2026 NFL draft, they could have two defensive linemen.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4>Reflection<\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While these are teams that need an edge rusher, the New York Giants are also asking for something in return. The organization is asking for a late 2026 first-round pick or a combination of a second or fifth round selection.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The organizations listed above also have to be prepared. They must be ready to handle his $20 million-plus cap hit for the year. Also, they are going to have to be ready to negotiate a new extension for Lawrence.
