Dynasty and fantasy football managers are eagerly waiting on which team will select him and what this means for his dynasty outlook. Let’s take a look at some of the best landing spots for Tate. These landing spots are all realistic for Tate, meaning the Seahawks, who have the 32nd overall pick, are not in the running to take Tate. In fact, for this exercise, we will only consider teams with a top 10 pick.

Carnell Tate Best Fantasy Football Landing Spots

<smartframe-embed class="smartframe_wp_element" customer-id="b0c95bc04383cef69c6b47df872135cf" image-id="WmOBzzNUJo1X" style="width: 100%; display: inline-flex; max-width: 2987px; aspect-ratio: 2987/1991;" ></smartframe-embed>

1. Washington Commanders (7th overall pick)

Out of the teams with a top 10 pick in this year’s draft, the Commanders will be the best landing spot for Tate with the 7th overall pick. The Commanders struggled last season with the injury to quarterback Jayden Daniels and the injuries to Terry McLaurin. Deebo Samuel was the WR2 last season, but he is a free agent. Currently, the wide receivers behind McLaurin are Treylon Burks, Van Jefferson, Dyami Brown, Jaylin Lane, and Luke McCaffrey. Tate will immediately become the WR2 in what is a good offense with Daniels under center. McLaurin is already 30 years old, so his production could start to decline in the next few years. Tate will become an instant starter on a good offense with the potential to become a dynamic duo with Daniels over the next decade, making the Commanders the best fantasy football landing spot for Tate.

2. New Orleans Saints (8th overall pick)

The Saints traded away Rashid Shaheed, leaving Chris Olave as the only locked-in starter on the team. The Saints are in a very similar position to the Commanders in terms of their wide receiver room. Tate will slide in as the WR2 right away for a young quarterback in Tyler Shough. However, Olave is still just 25 years old, so he is the wide receiver of the future for the Saints. Shough showed great flashes down the stretch, so this offense should be able to support two fantasy-relevant receivers.

3. Cleveland Browns (6th overall pick)

Unlike the last two landing spots, Tate would become the instant WR1 for the Browns. Currently, Jerry Jeudy is the team’s WR1, but Tate can quickly pass him on the depth chart. The reason why the Browns are not ranked higher on this list is that the Browns’ offense is much worse than the Commanders and the Saints, and they have a lot of questions about the quarterback position.

4. Kansas City Chiefs (9th overall pick)

Rashee Rice won’t be suspended in 2026, but Xavier Worthy has not been great in his first two seasons with the team. Tate will be stuck as the team’s WR3 in his first season, but I think there’s potential for Tate to pass Worthy on the depth chart. Tate on the Chiefs is more of a dynasty long-term fantasy football landing spot, pairing him with Patrick Mahomes.

Worst Landing Spot

The Giants (5th overall pick) have Malik Nabers and are a run-first offense, so Tate will be the WR2 behind a superstar WR on a team that is not going to pass enough to support Tate in fantasy football. Out of the teams picking 4-10 in this year’s Draft, the Giants at number 5 is the worst fantasy football landing spot for Tate.

Conclusion

Tate is one of the best receivers in this year’s Draft and is expected to go in the top 10. There are a lot of good landing spots for him inside the top 10, such as pairing him with Daniels and the Commanders, Shough and the Saints, becoming the WR1 on the Browns, or the sneaky pick of him going to the Chiefs to try to revamp their offense.

Main Image: Joseph Maiorana-Imagn Images

Carnell Tate is one of the top wide receivers in the 2026 NFL Draft.
