With WR Brian Thomas Jr. in the latest rumors, it might come down to Washington, who could be dealt in a trade, and that could come as soon as the 2026 NFL Draft. While the Jaguars are close to extending Washington and are in talks, the team could make an alternating change.

Washington led the team in 847 yards, but that won’t stop the Jaguars from moving on. After letting former RB starter Travis Etienne test the market, the organization is never afraid of getting rid of talent. They traded Tank Bigsby during the 2025 regular season with the assumption that Etienne would eventually move into a permanent role. However, ever since the arrival of head coach Liam Coen, the Jaguars have been getting younger and want to build a regime on his behalf.

<smartframe-embed class="smartframe_wp_element" customer-id="1ffbae35d432d0d71911ca2a0b209fbb" image-id="prsiquUnnBsL" style="width: 100%; display: inline-flex; max-width: 4000px; aspect-ratio: 4000/2667;" ></smartframe-embed>

Jaguars $110 Million Travon Walker Extension Could Force Massive Parker Washington Trade

If that means moving on from Parker Washington despite his dynamic punt-returning abilities, too, they would be prepared to do that. Selected as a sixth-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, the former Penn State product is entering the final year of his contract. Unlike Thomas Jr., Parker has the leverage to demand a high-end deal, and he won’t be afraid to negotiate.

The Jaguars also have Walker’s teammate, Josh Hines-Allen, in the book of a massive deal signed in 2024. Jacksonville needs to think about its finances, so watch for Washington to be another name on the trade block this upcoming NFL Draft.

Possible Fits

Baltimore Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens should be in the market for a wide receiver. With DeAndre Hopkins still available, nobody should anticipate the team bringing him back under Jesse Minter’s wing. The team is probably going to rebuild some of its offense in the draft, so the Ravens could entertain bringing in Washington. Baltimore doesn’t need to commit to a long-term deal, but it gives Lamar Jackson another weapon to lean on other than Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman.

The Ravens haven’t had a true slot WR3 that has exploded, and Washington could be the missing ingredient to sauce up the opposing defenses.

Carolina Panthers

Coming off one of the most promising seasons, the Carolina Panthers have officially opened their championship window after signing linebacker Jaelan Phillips. This means the Panthers are eyeing back-to-back trips to the postseason, especially with Tetairoa McMillan showing he could have an All-Pro season very soon. Jalen Coker is a decent WR2 who has had his moments, but hasn’t been able to compensate for what Xavier Legette has done.

Legette is likely to be gone, which means the Panthers would be in the market for a WR. Washington could be the perfect swap for Legette if the teams agree during the draft.

Chicago Bears

After losing DJ Moore to the Bills, the Chicago Bears should be prepared to bring in a high-stakes WR via the draft or trade. The team got rid of Moore, given his age and contract status, but they won’t need to worry about that in Washington. The receiver is still 24-years-old and could nicely fit into the young Ben Johnson offense alongside Luther Burden and Rome Odunze.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed defensive end Travon Walker to a massive four-year deal, which could spell the end of Parker Washington.

<smartframe-embed customer-id="1ffbae35d432d0d71911ca2a0b209fbb" image-id="prsivMcwloUG" style="width: 100%;max-width: 4000px;aspect-ratio: 4000/2667"></smartframe-embed>
[36,10,30,23,13,6431
7723,7739,7403,4137,7335,32193,246,7661,9724,7638,8942,32429,9722
post-272134","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-nfl-news","category-ravens","category-panthers","category-bears","category-jaguars","category-nfl-teams","tag-baltimore-ravens-news","tag-carolina-panthers-news","tag-chicago-bears-news","tag-dj-moore","tag-jacksonville-jaguars-news","tag-lastest-nfl-news","tag-nfl-news","tag-panthers-featured","tag-parker-washington","tag-ravens-featured","tag-travon-walker","tag-xavier-legette","tag-zay-flowers
["GET
