After establishing himself as one of the game’s better cornerbacks early in his career, the Titans traded for him during the 2024 offseason. The Chiefs couldn’t afford to keep him and veteran Trent McDuffie, and the Titans believed Sneed could lead their secondary for years to come.

Unfortunately, the acquisition did not go according to plan. Injuries limited Sneed to just 12 games over the past two seasons, and he didn’t play particularly well during his time on the field. Ultimately, he never came close to justifying his salary, and the Titans are right to release him, but he’ll earn another shot somewhere else. There aren’t enough good cornerbacks to go around, and one of the following three teams could make a move for the two-time Super Bowl champion.

<smartframe-embed class="smartframe_wp_element" customer-id="b0c95bc04383cef69c6b47df872135cf" image-id="WmOBKHHNd1Yb" style="width: 100%; display: inline-flex; max-width: 6605px; aspect-ratio: 6605/4403;" ></smartframe-embed>

Top 3 L’Jarius Sneed Destinations After Titans Release

Kansas City Chiefs

Far and away, the most likely outcome is the Chiefs simply reunite with their former lockdown cornerback. Sneed needs to prove he’s healthy, but assuming he can pass a physical, he’s a perfect fit for Kansas City’s defense. Steve Spagnuolo clearly knows how to get the best out of the cornerback, and this team desperately needs more help in the secondary.

The cash-strapped Chiefs traded Trent McDuffie to the Los Angeles Rams at the start of the legal tampering period and quickly lost cornerback Jaylen Watson to the open market. This leaves Kansas City with no proven option at arguably the most important defensive position in football. This is a serious issue for a team hoping to rebound from a down season, and signing Sneed might be the team’s best shot at solidifying their pass defense. A one-year, prove-it deal makes perfect sense for both sides.

Chicago Bears

The Chicago Bears won the NFC North last year thanks in large part to multiple last-second comebacks. While these games were undeniably fun to watch, this style of play isn’t particularly sustainable on an annual basis. Chicago must improve their overall roster to repeat as division champions, and that starts with improving the defense.

Head coach Ben Johnson has done a remarkable job of building a talented offense around quarterback Caleb Williams, but the defense could use some work. Jaylon Johnson is a great CB1, and Tyrique Stevenson is ok, but it wouldn’t hurt to add a low-risk, high-reward player like L’Jaruis Sneed to the mix.

Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys have one of the league’s best offenses, and they should make the playoffs next year if they can get anything from their defense. The 2025 Dallas Cowboys couldn’t stop anyone through the air or on the ground, as the unit clearly struggled to adjust to life without star pass rusher Micah Parsons. While the team has added several players to the front seven, they still need to do something about the secondary.

Jerry Jones loves betting on big-name veterans, and L’Jarius Sneed fits that description. Maybe the cornerback’s best days are truly behind him, but it can’t hurt to bring him in and see if he has anything left in his tank.

Main Photo: Steve Roberts – Imagn Images

The Tennessee Titans released cornerback L’Jarius Sneed, but it shouldn’t be long before another team signs him.

[6431,23,19,16,11
7811,9979,7700
post-269103","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-nfl-teams","category-bears","category-cowboys","category-chiefs","category-titans","tag-chiefs-featured","tag-ljarius-sneed","tag-tennessee-titans-news
["GET
