He was in a split backfield in 2025 with Zach Charbonnet, leading to a RB22 finish for Walker. However, he was still able to pick up the second 1000-yard rushing season of his career. Then, in the playoffs with Charbonnet out with a torn ACL injury, Walker showed that he could be a workhorse back. He had over 100 yards in two out of three playoff games, including 19 rushing attempts for 116 yards and three rushing touchdowns in the Divisional Round and 27 rushes for 135 yards in the Super Bowl.

Walker Dynasty Price

According to KeepTradeCut, a website that crowdsources dynasty values from players who use the site, Walker is the RB13. He is ranked around Breece Hall, Bucky Irving, Christian McCaffrey, and Saquon Barkley. With this signing to the Chiefs, Walker has the highest upside of any of these players in this tier, so expect his ranking to continue to rise. Currently, Walker is worth a mid-first-round pick in rookie dynasty drafts.

Walker Contract

Walker signed a three-year deal worth $43 million, meaning he is making almost $15 million a year, making him one of the top five paid running backs in the league. If the Chiefs are going to pay him that much money, they are going to want him to use him like that.

Walker Dynasty Outlook

Walker immediately takes over a backfield led by Isiah Pacheco and Kareem Hunt, neither of whom was that successful last season. Both of them are free agents this offseason, meaning this backfield is all Walker’s right now. The Chiefs offense has not been as great as it has in the past few years, but they were missing a star running back to take pressure off quarterback Patrick Mahomes. The Chiefs now have their guy in Walker to do that. Walker was never the featured back in Seattle, but he will get that opportunity in Kansas City. This is a massive upgrade for Walker, and current dynasty managers holding Walker should be ecstatic about the move. The Chiefs needed another playmaker, and they got their guy in Walker, who is effective both on the ground and in the air.

What To Do With Kenneth Walker In Dynasty Leagues?

With the upgrade, contending managers should definitely keep Walker, as he is in store for a couple of big seasons coming up. For rebuilding managers who are still a few years away from competing, I would be looking to sell Walker for the earliest pick in the first round of the rookie draft as possible. I expect Walker’s price to rise in the coming weeks, so it might be worth waiting a little longer for that to happen and then selling him for more. Regardless of what fantasy managers do with Walker, they should be very happy about the Chiefs signing.

Main Photo: [Darren Yamashita] – Imagn Images

The reigning Super Bowl MVP, Kenneth Walker III, has signed with the Kansas City Chiefs in Free Agency.
