The Seahawks would defeat New England, 29-13, to hoist the Lombardi Trophy.

Shaheed originally entered the league as an undrafted pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. The rookie made an immediate impact, recording 28 receptions for 488 yards and two receiving touchdowns to go with a rushing touchdown. New Orleans would miss the NFL playoffs that season, placing third behind the Carolina Panthers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The then-starting quarterback, Jameis Winston, started three games before veteran Andy Dalton finished the season in the remaining 14 matchups.

Shaheed had a breakout campaign in 2023, recording 46 receptions for 719 yards and five touchdowns. Derek Carr was the primary starter, helping the Saints to a 9-8 record. Shaheed’s season ended that year with a season-ending knee surgery to repair his meniscus. Before injury, Shaheed finished with 20 receptions for 349 yards and five touchdowns.

Since signing his rookie contract, Rashid Shaheed has appeared in 51 games while making 32 starts. During his time on the field, the Weber State product has recorded 2,434 receiving yards, 2,336 return yards, and combined six return and rushing touchdowns.

Main: [Kirby Lee] – Imagn Images

Veteran wide receiver Rashid Shaheed signed a new contract after winning the Super Bowl with the Seattle Seahawks.

[36,28,6431,32
7752,1608,246,10104,7659,7282
post-268327","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-nfl-news","category-saints","category-nfl-teams","category-seahawks","tag-new-orleans-saints-news","tag-nfl-free-agency","tag-nfl-news","tag-rashid-shaheed","tag-saints-featured","tag-seattle-seahawks-news
["GET
