Starting Wednesday, March 11th, teams can officially start making signings and trades. After the 2025 season, many are expected to make major decisions on how to improve their rosters. And the Jets are no exception. Despite major needs on defense, they will need help adding to their new look offense. Under offensive coordinator Frank Reich, the Jets passing game should fare much better in 2026. To make that a reality, they will need to be proactive in the wide receiver market. When healthy, Garrett Wilson is still one of the league’s best playmakers. While Adonai Mitchell showed flashes, the cupboard is looking bare beyond those two. So, who are some veteran wide receivers New York can target this offseason? Here are five names who could make sense to head to New Jersey.

<smartframe-embed class="smartframe_wp_element" customer-id="b0c95bc04383cef69c6b47df872135cf" image-id="WmOBY641jTaq" style="width: 100%; display: inline-flex; max-width: 6240px; aspect-ratio: 6240/3512;" ></smartframe-embed>

Five Free Agent Wide Receivers the Jets Can Target

Alec Pierce

One of the most coveted names on the market. After spending his entire career in Indianapolis, Colts wide receiver Alec Pierce is ready to get paid. In 2025, Pierce led the Colts in receiving yards, despite finishing fourth in targets and missing two games. At 25 years old and standing at 6’3, 215lbs, Pierce possesses great size for an outside receiver. He will have plenty of interest this offseason. However, with the Jets’ cap space and the chance to reunite with former teammate Adonai Mitchell and his former head coach, Frank Reich, New York could be more appealing to Pierce than many expect.

Romeo Doubs

20 receptions vs press after snap

6 Red Zone Receptions vs press after the snap (3rd)

The twitchiness during the release and at break points vs press are FUN pic.twitter.com/heLPasdPra

— Erik Turner Cover 1 (@ErikJTurner) February 19, 2026

Romeo Doubs

Coming off a career high in receiving yards, Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs could look to spread his wings this offseason. After an injury-filled 2024, Romeo Doubs had a productive 2025. With 724 yards on 55 catches with six touchdowns, Doubs was far better than some expected despite facing stiff competition in a talented wide receiver group in Green Bay. Despite a productive season, the arrival of rookie Matthew Golden will impact Doubs’ targets heading into 2026. An arrival in New York could instantly give Doubs the chance for more targets behind Garrett Wilson.

Christian Kirk

While there will be younger options available, this is a sneaky veteran addition that could pay off. Despite limited targets this season, Christian Kirk played in the most games in a season this year over the last four seasons. While he is not the same impact player he was with the Arizona Cardinals, Kirk stepped up, becoming a focal point in the Houston Texans offense during the playoffs. Between two games, Kirk finished the 2025 playoffs with ten catches on 15 targets for 164 yards and two touchdowns. Bringing in Kirk as a veteran mentor for Garrett Wilson would be valuable, especially with Kirk reuniting with Shawn Jefferson, the current Jets wide receiver coach who worked with Kirk back in Arizona.

Dec 25, 2025; Kansas City, Missouri, USA; Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Hollywood Brown (5) misses a catch against Kansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt (29) at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. Wide receivers coach Shawn Jefferson also coached Brown during his tenure in Arizona with the Cardinals. After missing a majority of 2024 with a shoulder injury, Marquise Brown was one of the few Chiefs who enjoyed a bounce-back season. Ending 2024 with 587 receiving yards and the most touchdowns he’s had since his final season with the Baltimore Ravens in 2021. Despite being undersized at only 5’9″, Brown brings playoff experience to the roster and would be a good compliment to a big-bodied rookie wide receiver like Chris Brazzell or Denzel Boston if the Jets can draft them.

Wan’Dale Robinson

After recording his first 1,000-yard season of his career, Wan’Dale Robinson is ready to cash in this offseason. After back-to-back seasons with 140 targets, Wan’Dale Robinson finished 2025 with 1,014 yards on 93 catches and four touchdowns. Similar to Marquise Brown, Robinson is on the shorter side at only 5’8″. However, when the ball is in his hands, there’s no denying his ability to make plays via YAC yards on all three levels. Already familiar with MetLife Stadium through his Giants tenure, a trip across the otherside of the stadium could pay off for the former Kentucky Wildcat.

Main Photo: [Charles LeClaire] – Imagn Images

While they will also look at the draft, the Jets must add to their wide receiver room.
