Despite making it to the game’s biggest stage, Maye hasn’t matched his MVP-caliber regular season in the postseason. While some of that is due to facing elite defenses and playing in poor weather conditions, the second-year quarterback showed up on the injury report with a shoulder ailment.

The topic of his shoulder came up during Media Day, and the quarterback put any worries to rest about his availability. Maye said “I’ll be just fine,” which means he will play in the Super Bowl, barring an unexpected setback.

<smartframe-embed class="smartframe_wp_element" customer-id="b0c95bc04383cef69c6b47df872135cf" image-id="WmOBpsQjCIf3" style="width: 100%; display: inline-flex; max-width: 3000px; aspect-ratio: 3000/2000;" ></smartframe-embed>

Drake Maye On Shoulder Injury: “I’ll Be Just Fine”

This is fantastic news for the Patriots, as Drake Maye easily gives this team the best chance to win against the Seattle Seahawks – even with an injured shoulder. The quarterback has been nothing short of phenomenal in 2025, making the Pro Bowl and earning Second-Team All-Pro honors while completing a league-best 72.0% of his passes for 4,394 yards, 31 touchdowns, and eight interceptions, while adding another 450 yards and four touchdowns on the ground.

For what it’s worth, Maye’s comments yesterday align with what we’ve heard all week. According to the quarterback himself and reports surrounding the team, there is no structural damage to the quarterback’s throwing arm. This is mostly a case of fatigue, as this is far and away the longest stretch of continuous play in his short career. Hopefully, an additional week of rest will have him in peak shape to face off against the Seattle Seahawks.

The Patriots enter Super Bowl LX as 4.5-point underdogs to Sam Darnold and the Seattle Seahawks. Darnold guided Seattle to an impressive 14-3 record and enters the big game after narrowly taking down the rival Los Angeles Rams in the NFC Championship Game.

Main Photo: Kirby Lee – Imagn Images

New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye addressed the status of his injured shoulder during Super Bowl LX Media Day

[36,5,6431,32
10076,7394
post-264328","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-nfl-news","category-patriots","category-nfl-teams","category-seahawks","tag-drake-maye","tag-new-england-patriots-news
["GET
