Week 17 Takeaways from Every AFC Team that Played on Sunday<\/h2>\n

Indianapolis Colts<\/strong><\/a> – In what could be Philip Rivers’ final (?) game, the Colts came up short against the Jaguars 23-17 to lose their sixth straight game. Indy started 7-1, but was eliminated from playoff contention before they took the field Sunday after the Texans beat the Chargers on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Jacksonville Jaguars<\/strong><\/a> – The Jags escaped Indy with a win to stay one game ahead of the Texans in the division. Trevor Lawrence rushed for two touchdowns to give them the victory.<\/p>\n

Houston Texans<\/strong><\/a> – C.J. Stroud threw two first-quarter touchdowns to lead the Texans to a big win over the Chargers. Houston now sits at 11-5 with a clinched playoff spot and a chance to still win the division.<\/p>\n

Tennessee Titans<\/strong><\/a> – The Titans blew a 20-10 halftime lead to lose to the Saints. Tennessee fell to 3-13 on the season.<\/p>\n

Denver Broncos<\/strong><\/a> – The Broncos slid by the depleted Chiefs by a score of 20-13. Bo Nix tossed and rushed for a touchdown to move Denver to 13-3 to stay in the hunt for the top seed in the AFC.<\/p>\n

Kansas City Chiefs<\/strong><\/a> – With Chris Oladukan under center, the Chiefs mustered 139 total yards, but they only lost by seven to a good Denver squad. Kansas City moved to 6-10 on the season in what could be Travis Kelce\u2019s final home game.<\/p>\n

Las Vegas Raiders<\/strong><\/a> – As the Raiders are holding Maxx Crosby against his will from playing, they lose once again, this time to the Giants, 34-10.<\/p>\n

Los Angeles Chargers<\/strong><\/a> – The Chargers lose to the Texans 20-16 to officially hand the AFC West to Denver. The Chargers still have a spot in the playoffs, but in the Wild Card.<\/p>\n

Pittsburgh Steelers<\/strong><\/a> – The Steelers dropped a division-clinching game against the Browns without D.K. Metcalf and Calvin Austin III on the field. Pittsburgh did not score a touchdown and lost 13-6, setting up a matchup with Baltimore for the division next week.<\/p>\n

Baltimore Ravens<\/strong><\/a> – With Lamar Jackson out, the Ravens finally leaned on Derrick Henry, and Henry delivered with 36 carries, 216 yards, and four touchdowns to lead Baltimore to victory over the Jordan Love-less Packers. The Ravens\u2019 playoff hopes are still alive as are their chances to win the division.<\/p>\n

Cincinnati Bengals<\/strong><\/a> – The Bengals thrashed the Cardinals to win 37-14. Joe Burrow threw for over 300 yards and two touchdowns, and Chase Brown ran for over 100 yards and two touchdowns as well.<\/p>\n

Cleveland Browns<\/strong><\/a> – The Browns pulled off the upset win over the Steelers 13-6 to move to 4-12 on the season.<\/p>\n

Buffalo Bills<\/a><\/strong> – The Bills scored all 12 of their points in the fourth quarter, but failed a two-point conversion with five seconds left to lose to the Eagles 13-12. With the loss, Buffalo has lost the division to the Patriots and dropped down to the seventh seed in the playoff picture.<\/p>\n

Miami Dolphins<\/strong><\/a> – Quinn Ewers picks up his first win in the NFL as he threw two touchdowns to secure a 20-17 win over a potential playoff team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Miami moves to 7-9 on the season.<\/p>\n

New York Jets<\/a><\/strong> – The Jets were demolished by the Patriots 42-10.<\/p>\n

New England Patriots<\/strong><\/a> – Drake Maye threw five touchdowns and had just two incompletions in total domination over the Jets. With the win and the Bills’ loss, the Patriots have won the AFC East<\/a> in a total turnaround from 2024.<\/p>\n
