Green Bay controlled the first half, but Caleb Williams<\/a> and the Bears began to wear down the defense and tied the game with 8 minutes to play. That is when Josh Jacobs<\/a> took over, breaking off a 20+ yard run and eventually powering his way into the endzone for what would be the game-winning score.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

That victory showed this team\u2019s toughness. The Packers attacked both in the air and on the ground, and their defense rose to the occasion late. But Week 15 served as a stark reminder of the NFL\u2019s unpredictability, as the defense struggled without its star pass rusher and the offense couldn\u2019t deliver late in Denver.<\/span><\/p>\n

Jordan Love<\/a>:<\/b> Love has taken a huge step forward this season, playing some of his best football before the second half in Denver. Since becoming the starter two years ago, Love has shown that being on the road in a hostile environment does not faze him. Signs are pointing to him fighting to play in this game, and if he can go, it would be a significant boost for the offense in a key match. Watson\u2019s two touchdowns in the last meeting showed the Chicago secondary just cannot keep up with him, and he will continue to be a Bears killer if he plays.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Josh Jacobs:<\/b> What else is there to say about Jacobs except that he is the heart and soul of this offense? The man has battled through a knee injury since the Giants game and continues to run hard and make plays when this team needs him the most. A physical ground game could slow Chicago\u2019s pass rush and sustain drives.<\/span><\/p>\n

Units that Must Step Up<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Offensive Line:<\/b> Brian Gutekunst has invested a lot of capital into this o-line, and they have significantly underperformed this season. Injuries have played a part, and this week will be no different if Zach Tom<\/a> is unable to play. Look for Darian Kinnard<\/a> to get the start at correct tackle with Jordan Morgan<\/a> coming in as the extra lineman on jumbo sets. If Rasheed Walker<\/a> gets out to another slow start and plays like he did last week in Denver, do not be surprised if Morgan is out there at left tackle at some point during the game.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Defense:<\/b> Without Parsons, the Packers\u2019 pass rush loses its centerpiece. But Green Bay\u2019s defense can still win the trenches and create momentum if it gets consistent pressure by using disguised looks. Lukas Van Ness<\/a> and Rashan Gary<\/a> can play significant factors in the pass rush, and Jeff Hafley may even toy with the idea of sending Quay Walker<\/a> on blitzes through the A-gap, as he did at times with Parsons.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Force Chicago into Third\u2011Down Mistakes<\/b><\/p>\n

Green Bay\u2019s linebackers and secondary need to generate pressure without dropping coverage integrity. Stuffing the Bears on early downs forces third\u2011and\u2011long situations, prime opportunities for turnovers. This is no easy task, as we saw two weeks ago; however, it will be key to limiting what Chicago can do on offense.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Let’s not forget that the defensive backs need to start catching these easy interception opportunities that come their way. Hauling in picks would silence Soldier Field and flip the game\u2019s momentum.<\/span><\/p>\n

Control the Clock<\/b><\/p>\n

Long, sustained drives help take the pressure off the defense. Mixing runs and play-action keeps Chicago\u2019s pass rush from pinning its ears back. The Bears had just one sack in week 14, but look for them to bring more pressure this time around if the Packers get behind the sticks.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Establishing the run early will help keep the sticks moving and the defense fresh. The key after that will be finishing off drives with points.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Protect Jordan Love, and he\u2019ll deliver the plays that put this team in position to win. Denver\u2019s late pressure overwhelmed the line and erased any downfield options.<\/span><\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t just a game; it\u2019s a statement. With the NFC North and playoff seeding at stake, the Packers have everything to play for. Yes, losing Micah Parsons is a bitter blow. Everyone is counting this team out and has no faith that they can bounce back from this. History shows the Packers are dangerous when no one believes in them.<\/span><\/p>\n

Despite losing Micah Parsons, the Packers are still pushing toward a Super Bowl run. They will be hungry to prove they can go out and take back what is rightfully theirs. It all starts this Saturday night at Soldier Field.<\/span><\/p>\n
