If we are fortunate enough to still be playing, it’s more than likely we’ve gotten to this point thanks to a steady option at quarterback. Still, there are some that may have been riding Daniel Jones or were maybe counting on Jayden Daniels for their playoff run, who now have to make the dreaded Week 15 pivot. If last week showed us anything, it’s that what we think we know today may end up being nothing more than an idiotic delusion come next week. How else can we explain Shadeur Sanders finishing last week as the overall QB2, while Jalen Hurts scored fewer points than a backup tight end? Let’s take a look at our top 10 quarterback rankings for Week 15 and see if we need to react (not overreact) to what we saw last week.

Week 15 Quarterback Rankings

1) Josh Allen vs. Patriots

Thank goodness for this guy. This week, he gets a tough Patriots team that beat the Bills in Buffalo in their first meeting. The Bengals are basically out of it, but they are still under the delusion that they can make the playoffs if they win out, and I’m here for it. Tee Higgins may miss another game as he may have suffered yet another concussion last week, which would be his second in three games. He wasn’t on the field for their last matchup, but Burrow can make do with the likes of Mitchell Tinsley and Mike Gesicki when he isn’t throwing it to Chase Brown and Ja’Marr Chase. The Chargers just held Jalen Hurts down to the single worst fantasy game of his career, so why would we recommend playing Patrick Mahomes against them this week? It’s pretty simple. Who else are you going to play over him? If you have been playing Mahomes all season and you’ve made it to the playoffs, it’s not likely you have a better option on your bench. These games happen from time to time, and you have to stay strong and not overreact. When the Chiefs faced L.A. on opening day, Mahomes put up over 26 fantasy points. Some of us might have needed Hurts to put up a measly 10 points last week to secure a bye, guaranteeing us a share of the prize pool. Some of us probably felt pretty good about our chances going into Monday night since his worst game of the season came way back in week 2 against the Chiefs, and that was still a decent 11.54-point day. Well, there’s no sense crying over spilled milk. Or spilled footballs that you somehow recovered and then immediately lost after throwing an interception, resulting in becoming the first player in league history to commit two turnovers in the same play. We’re not bitter at all, because this week is the week that Hurts pays us back. The Eagles are going to take three weeks’ worth of frustration out on the hapless Raiders, and there’s nothing Pete Carroll or Maxx Crosby or even the ghost of Al Davis is going to be able to do about it. Philly is the school bully who just got their butts kicked by three bigger bullies, and now they’re looking for somebody to give a wedgie to, and the Raiders are going to prance onto Lincoln Financial Field with their silver and black underwear hanging out. They’re almost asking for it. It will be ugly, and Jalen Hurts will have his hands in on at least 3 Eagles scores.

6) Lamar Jackson vs. Bengals

We almost left him for dead last week, but he showed us some signs of life in a win over the Steelers. Maye has been great this year for both fantasy and for the Patriots, sitting as the overall QB5 in fantasy and on the short list for this year’s league MVP award. He would typically be higher on this list, considering the season he has had, but this is a tough matchup against Buffalo. The Bills rank #2 overall against the pass and #4 in fantasy points allowed against the quarterback position. They also held Maye to 12.12 points in their previous meeting, which is his lowest fantasy point total game of the season. That game back in early October was the only game this season that Maye failed to throw for a score, and his 12 rushing yards were tied for his 3rd lowest total in a game thus far. It’s a situation much like Mahomes, where you just don’t have a better option on your roster right now (unless you have one of the names listed above), so get him in your lineup and hope that Stephon Diggs second revenge game includes a score (or two) this time.

9) Jaxson Dart vs. Commanders

Dart and the Giants were off last weekend with their bye, and it came at the perfect time for the rookie signal caller. He had just returned in week 13 from a multiple-week absence due to a concussion, and the layoff looked like it affected Dart. He looked like he was going to run the ball as much as he did before the injury, until he got cleaned completely off of his feet while running down the sidelines in the first half against the Patriots. After that hit, he didn’t run nearly as much, ending the game with just four carries and zero rushing scores for just the second time in his eight starts this season. This week, I think the running game comes back against a Commanders defense that struggles to stop the run as well as the pass. I like Dart this week more than guys like Caleb Williams, Baker Mayfield, Brock Purdy, Jacoby Brissett, and Jordan Love.

10) Jared Goff vs. Rams

He returns to L.A. to face his former team, and he should have a healthier version of Amon-Ra St. Brown in the fold. This isn’t a fantastic matchup for Goff, but I think the Rams will be playing with the lead for most of the game, and I can see the Lions throwing the ball a ton this weekend. The Rams have a good pass rush, so Goff will take some shots, but there are yards to be had against this secondary that is ranked 16th in the league against the pass. He’s a good play for this week based on volume alone, even if he doesn’t have the rushing upside of some other options like Caleb Williams or even Trevor Lawrence.

For more great fantasy football analysis, check out DrRoto.com!

We’ve reached the playoffs in most leagues across the fantasy football multiverse, and for most of us, we know exactly who we are starting at quarterback for this week’s wild-card matchup.
